I think your being a little harsh on Kuyt. He's never let us down in big games before in which he's scored vital goals for us.

The only Atletico player I'd be worried about is Aguero the rest are pretty ordinary that have failed on the big stage with othe clubs.

I'd like to see us go with this team below

Great squad/back up player with a good attitude and has never let us down in the past but as you said in my opinion he's not a regular starter if we get quality signings in the summer.

I've heard a rumour he might be playing Masch at RB and johnson LB - anyone heard similar?

Think I might have lashed out a bit about Kuyt there Murph. The nerves are at me. If I had a cat I'd be kicking it all over the place!Think we do need his experience and mentality tonight. As for Mash at RB and Johnson at LB, wouldn't see it as a bad thing as both can get forward and have more pace to recover. Also, the Greek's pace worries me a bit so would rather have Carra and Agger as partners tonight.
Now, wheres that cat?!!!

personally i think kuyt is totally useless as a lone striker. he is easy to control for the defenders.

works hard and always tries his best, sorry but in 8 of 10 games it's just not good enough.

im not a big fan of babel either but i would go for him as a striker today. at least he's a threat with his pace.

yes but as Lucas said might be understandably concerned about The Greeks pace against Aguero and Forlan, so I would not be surprised to see Carra and Agger in the middle

I didnt see the game Sunday but how did Ayala do? Worth a shout in the centre tonight with Carra?

I didn't see it either but apparently he looked very nervous for the first 20 minutes and then settled down and did quite well

Did ok. Strong in tackle but poor decisions in possession. Gifted them the ball but nothing came of it. Might be a thing of too soon for him. Greek has done well but I am concerned bout pace tonight.

the greek is crap - too slow, always out of position, can't pass and prone to errors ..... would rather have a young lad in there who is going to learn a lot from the experience and is quicker and better able to deal with the attackers he is up against

atletico are a poor side - they have nothing outstanding about them whatsoever (apart from aguero) and don't travel well, we should be looking to put this game to bed within the first hour then get 3 kids on as subs for a bit of a run out
