How could it be meaningless?
All games are there to be won.

It is not the defeats but the manner of defeats. We have 4 points from the last 15. The teams we have beaten most recently have been awful teams. We have beaten nobody of note for quite some time now.

Back in December BR said we were broken. Well we are far worse than that now. He must go.

Undecided. If a top candidate is available in the summer ie Ancelotti, Rafa, yeah I know I'm dreaming a bit but a top manager has to come in, otherwise keep Rodgers.

Unless FSG set up the poll with an automatic result of sending him his marching orders, I'm not sure BR cares how it looks.
But FSG read all our stuff. Mr. Henry has got his lovely missus into the forum in disguise. Won't reveal my sources though.

I have to admit now, I was wrong. I thought Brendan was the man to take us forward and I'll still give him a lot of credit for what he achieved last season, it was remarkable.

I can forgive losing, I can forgive coming 5th, I can forgive not taking the title last season and falling dramatically this season, I can even forgive the indescribably terrible transfer window that we had.

This is what I can't forgive and why he has to go, for me anyway.
I can't forgive going 1-0 up in a semi final and managing to lose to a side like Aston Villa in normal time. Showing some fight and taking it to extra time might have been a different story but that performance, personnel, formation and lack of desire was purely disgraceful.

I can't forgive playing Glen Johnson and Emre Can at full backs when everyone can see that NOW is the time to test Emre in the midfield and bring in our Spanish full backs, especially considering Manquillo (whilst not being terrific) was definitely solid defensively AND Glen Johnson will not be here after seasons end. Why are we playing him?!

I can forgive playing Balotelli into the shop window and can not wait to see him gone, however, I can't forgive playing Balotelli alone up front when we realised two games into his Liverpool career that he can not play as a lone striker.

I can't forgive having no backbone to drop Steven Gerrard for the good of the team in important matches. I love Steven, we all do, though I'm sure we can all admit that our team currently look worse when he's playing because the players look up to him and rely on him. When he's on the field the only player that shows some proper fight and doesn't just look to Gerrard to play is Phillipe Coutinho and it's simply not good enough. He is leaving at the end of the season, be in the players for the future and give him an impact role where he can actually be of use rather than struggling to keep up with the pace and slowing down the game to a pedestrian level in our midfield.

I can forgive experiments, formation changes, personnel changes etc when things aren't going well, in order to get something different. What I can't forgive is testing these experiments until it's obvious that they aren't what's needed and don't make the desired difference to then again go back and do the same thing when every fan (who is supposed to have inferior knowledge of the game in comparison to the manager and coaching staff) can tell that these experiments will not work and should be immediately scrapped.

I liked the 343, to an extent. I don't know whether he fell upon it due to disappointing defensive performances or if it's something he had been previously working on (though it seems like the former.) Whatever the case, it worked, temporarily. The problem, once again, came in attack. Once it was found wanting defensively and that we couldn't rectify the situation in scoring more goals, the system had to either be altered or go altogether. To then go back to playing that same system in a semi final no less against an inferior team when we should have been attacking them was unforgivable, especially to include a player that had been out injured previously and added back to the team based on reputation alone, rather than giving him a place on our bench.

This season has been a joke, there is no other way to put it. It's been a series of disappointments with a number of promising performances in the middle. This is what we were clamoring onto. We see that Brendan can get these runs of 5,6, even 10+ consistent wins and hold hope but outside of these fixtures it's constant disappointment in not only the performances but also the chosen formations and playing staff.

I'm done, I really like Brendan and had a lot of hope but I was wrong and he's not ready to take us forward as a club considering some of the decisions he's made. He's young and he will become a decent manager once grows some proper backbone and believes in himself. I honestly believe that but he's no where near that point yet and we can not wait around for him to get there as we will fall far too far behind.

Jurgen Klopp is the first choice. He plays a very attractive style of football, could likely entice better players (not just "bigger names") and may actually have us challenging again.
Brendan has lost the faith of the players and it's time to have someone come in that they trust.
Going back to Rafa or the like would be a huge mistake and we need to move forward, not look back into the past.

If, for whatever reason, we can't attract Klopp then Frank De Boer or Phillip Cocu would be attractive options to me. They both play very attractive football, both are young and both have won titles. There is a lot of tremendous young talent in the Netherlands right now and these two would be very comfortable options for players in the Eridivisie. Cocu got the very best out of Memphis Depay this season, who by all accounts, could be lining up in Liverpool red next season.

Let Brendan go, scrap the committee, bring in a forward thinking manager with title winning experience, believe in our young players and supplement them with some more experienced players to aid them and challenge for first team roles and we could have a very, very good future.

I still think BR can be a success for us. But he needs the support from fsg we never land our reported number 1 targets. We always get 2nd or 3rd pickings and hence why we look like a second rate team. My frustration isn't that we loose it's how we loose we have no fight, no grit. I look at that useless [oops] ballotellie walking around we're getting caught off side more times than he had a shot!!

On the flip side of the coin if we was able to get klopp then I'd be happy as that bloke has passion and hopefully he could pass it on to some of these bone idol pussys we have playing for us

Excellent post BTW. Balanced and honest.

Everyone will have taken a different route but it's the destination that matters.

In other words, he's lost the dressing room.

No manager stays when that happens.
