In all honesty his career took a nose dive after he left Liverpool, and please don't blame Rafa for that!!!
Whether Keane's career has turned on its head or not thats a different subject, but don't you find it funny that Rafa dropped the lad after scoring 3 goals in 2 games and this even before Torres returned to first team action, this then coincided with 3 draws in 3 games that cost us the title after Christmas, we were lacklustre up top and were gagging for someone with a bit of nous up top - in and around the penalty box, you just don't drop someone who is close to regaining some sort of form, but this is something that has happened way too much under Rafa and his regn in the Liverpool hotseat, the only 3 players escpae any sort of thing are Torres, Gerrard and Reina.
We saw the exact same thing with Peter Crouch in and out of the team even when Torres was not available, this is why the reason he chose to move on and this is why we have such sh*t backup for the striker position at this exact moment in time.,
