Notice the over use of the word outstanding
“We created opportunities, our only downfall was taking those chances but that has been a problem over the course of the season. I thought the players were outstanding, their courage and play on the ball. Across the team there were some outstanding performances.
“We have a game in hand and we have to chase that and fight for that but if the players play like they did today nine times out of 10 they would win. We will take this confidence into the midweek game.
“We have to rely on other teams, but we can only do our job and that is still the plan.”

Lack of quality in the final third, it's been the same all season, we need to sign a top quality striker along with a couple more for key positions in the summer, but no doubt it'll be more prospect's! I'd say we're short of three top quality players and if by some miracle we were to find them in some bargain basement sale and they're prepared to sign on for half pay we could be in with a chance of competing for 4th next season.
I said the exact same words last year around this time and of course my worst fears we're borne out with no less than 9 prospects, Inclusive of has-beens, nut cases, loanees, etc and I said we'd probably finish 6th. Right now the smart money will be for a similar scenario this time next year. When will they ever learn?
