It's stupid to insist we sell Sterling while the manager's future is in question. Things might change quickly for Sterling if we got a world class manager and started attracting top players.... ok defend sterling for not trying , disrupting the team having no thought for the fans , yeh he needs defending . Sauce??? He's had a shitt season and I dislike the little runt for his ego, but you have no proof what-so-ever of him disrupting the team, not trying & "having no thought for the fans" You're in too deep Faz. oh so he hasnt disrupted the team , his form has been brilliant then , and he is trying , just wake up mate sterling is wrong and liverpool are bigger and dont need him cash in and fans defending him just pathetic . As usual not one source when asked for proof. Gerrard did more to disrupt the team by announcing that he was leaving in the middle of the season and berating a team mate on live tv. If Sterling was the only one not playing well we would be top of the league and still in the CL and FA Cup. Our problems this season had little to do with Sterling's contract talks. But then it's easier to pick on a kid than it is to look at the real problems we are facing.

gerrard has done it been there and is at the end of his career , unlike sterling who has done nothing , you say its easy to pick on a kid , well no its not , but its easy to see when he is not right for liverpool , at 19-20 and he is calling the shots when he has done nothing , move him on if reds cant see he doesnt want to be at liverpool and want to blame everyone else at the club for this selfish no marks attitude well do it , but not me get him moved on , i cant support him no more , other names have been mentioned in this debate IE owen, torres ,suarez now gerrard , what have all these got in common , its they have achieved in the game even some at 17-18 years old , not sterling just sell him , if you just want to defend him just because someone like me is against him ok fine if you want to play games, but to me this is part of my life has been since 1977 week in week out and sterling is now effecting something i believe in .

It's laughable when fans talk about players having no loyalty anymore. It seems some fans are just as bad. Gerrard has done much more to disrupt our season than Sterling but it's OK if he does it because he's retiring. Blame a 20 year old kid if it makes you feel better *But he didn't spend over £100m on donkeys over the summer. *He didn't pick the teams and formations that lost virtually all our games against those above us this year. *He didn't slag a fellow team mate on live tv. *He didn't become the first manager since the 1950's to fail to win a trophy in his first 3 seasons at the club. *He didn't make us a laughing stock in the CL this season. *He didn't get tactically out thought by Tim Sherwood. *He hasn't spent £211m on players in 3 years and won nothing. At the start of the season you were telling us we were still in the running for 4 trophies, then 3, then 2 then 1 and now.... well you do the math. Our club is riddled with overpaid, under achieving tubes who made their names off the back of Luis Suarez last season and that includes old Pearly Whites. How I wish our only problem was a 20 year old kid who was stalling on his contract.

Liverpool aren't bigger any more. That's the point. Sterling holds all the cards. I'm sure he will go in summer because he wants to and is one of England's hottest prospects despite a run of average form. He still hasn't had a bad season, better than most of our players. Plus what happens when we sell him? You want to trust Rodgers to buy a player to replace him? Do me a favour, Rodgers can't buy a player to save his life. I'd rather keep players that are decent than watch Rodgers buy another Lallana to replace them.

Whats the bet we sell Sterling in the summer and make a £25m bid for Bolasie. Though from what i've actually seen of Bolasie (not a great deal), he looks like he would be an upgrade!
