I still think Rafa will end up at Man City.

Rafa is reportedly after a project, he won't get that at City, especially when you consider they only want to give him a 1 year deal, whilst they wait for Guardiola.

Will Rafa take the 1 year deal, where he will get no say in transfers, know he's leaving at the end of the season, be under enormous pressure to win everyting.

You mean like an "interim" position..

God, not this again. Get over Rafa, why do we always yearn for his return ? Let's move forwards and be more pragmatic about this, and not be bound by these emotional connections with past managers. Klopp maybe a wild stretch, but we should do everything in our power to get him.

Well I didn't vote because I don't think the manager is the relevant issue here. So I'll put my view of it in rhyme as a bit of emphasis!

Cometh the measuring month of May,
And the fruit of our endeavour,
Fades like fallen leaves away,
And we be left bereft as ever!

Shall they who for too long have said;
This strategy is clever,
Now concede it is brain dead,
And say; let's bury it forever?

So, let Liverpool fans a message send,
Here is our new condition;
Your silly policies must end,
And you must show ambition!

Rafa is considered by many to be our best manager since Paisley, and was only sacked because a couple of yankee doodle dandy buffoons thought they knew better than him. Why would any LFC fan not want him back?

Cause he hasn't shown anything since he left to demonstrate he would even have half a chance of getting this team into top 4 when there are 4 highly competitive teams above us as we bought so many mediocre players.

Strong possibility, he's what they need in Europe imo.

Could cost FSG 10m to get rid of BR, and probably another 10m to get a new manager, so BR's going nowhere I'd say.

You mean like when they payed off and sacked Kenny & Hodge???

Apparently, a lot of management contracts have a limit on the number of years that get paid up regardless of the remaining contract length. Moyes for example, didn't get his full contract paid up, and I read that Pardew would only have received 12 months salary if Newcastle had sacked him, despite having 4 or 5 years remaining. If FSG are anything, it is careful with money so I expect they have some kind of safety net in place in the unlikely event that they decide to get rid of Rodgers.

Agree. I would think that if we don't get top 4, there would be clauses in place to limit the damage if there's a need to remove him.
