I'm glad somebody has mentioned this. There was absolutely no point in us signing Lambert based on the game time he has been given, why not just use one of the kids?
I don't blame Rickie at all and I think most feel for him. He wants to play for the club, for the fans and gets given no opportunities. He's 32 I believe and maybe he could have had an impact like Gary McAllister did in 2001, if he had bee given half a chance that is, not 5 minutes here and there!
Borini is a slightly different example but still similar, he scored away at Villa in the league when he started and hasn't been seen since, why? Why start him in a game, then he scores, then drop him again, what does he need to do?
Such a strange signing - when Balo plays a similar game (both big boys)
Rodgers got rid of Carroll because he wanted ball playing strikers, Lambert looked a good signing as a plan B, but how the hell did we end up with Balo as well - two plan b's???
Not to mention that we then went on to play the best part of the season without a striker...

Bet Ricky wishes he'd stayed at Southampton, can't say I blame him.
