Probably after a good session in the pub too.

This Newcastle side are going to struggle next season big time.

Just seen the interview with Newcastle manager. He was happy with their performance! I think we beat them without getting out of first gear. I don't think they will get another win all season.

It was a blatant penalty and at 1-1 whose to say we wouldn't have buckled?

I'm not going to get overly negative or overly positive but we are not improving having gone through nearly a whole season.

It wasn't convincing considering the opposition and we were at home. On the last few games how can it not be said after nearly 3 years that the manager has not taken us a far as he is capable?

Just asking.

I think the manager has taken us as far as he is capable. Otherwise, it looks like our plan is to overwhelm our opponents of the day in the first 20-r0 mins and score a few, this worked last year when we could finish but not quite this season. Then we get tired (nobody can play like that for 90 mins) and as we are not well organised defensively, we lose the plot. If a manager knows about this, he prepares his team against this and our players get lost, this happened against United. We are not consistent over the whole game (I am not talking about small gaps in the game which happens to all teams) for some reasons.

Then you don't have to read it, do you? You can always reread your own threads if you find them so interesting.

Good win over the course of 90 minutes. The 5th placed team beat a far worse team fairly comfortably though neither side took their chances, and that penalty for 1 1 could have made this a much more depressing forum.

Cout looks magic at times, shame Sterling can't finish otherwise we would have had a much happier forum with a great scoreline.

All in all, the better team played better over 90 minutes and won. Changes absolutely nothing from before the game though. Squad full of mediocre players (relative to the top 4 which was our aim and what we should have achieved with the 2nd highest spend last summer), couple of good players, play pretty nice football at times, cemented our hold on 5th, little to no chance of 4th.

He is frustrating to watch in front of goal but we should't hold that against him. He's our top scorer despite being played out of position, yet still has the same amount of goals as Dave Silva, who everyone seems to think is sooo much better.

Just think how good Sterling will be when he grows up. I'd much rather have him on our team than watching him rip our defenders a 'new one'!

Silva has a career total of 88 goals at a rate of 0.175. Sterling already has a goal rate of 0.188 and he's still in nappies! Gotta say, I'm really disappointed in some fans attitude towards our best player.
