what we failed to do in twenty five.
Said it from the start. they got a proper manager, and proper players. they'll be settled in no time while we fuuck about pretending that rebuilding takes decades as rodgers stumbles from stuttering start to calamitous collapse.
We're a club of idiots. Nostalgic, deluded and gullible. Getting sold down the river rearranging chairs on the titanic as other clubs piiss by on their speed boats.
The same ridiculous hopeless threads will riddle the forum over the summer about which megastar we might buy and then we'll end up with Benteke or lampard on loan with sterling on his bike.
Luis Garcia, He drinks sangria He came from Barca, to bring us Joy He's five foot seven, he's football heaven please don't take my Luis away.

If all fans who are unhappy with the club just changed clubs, LFC would probably go down because of empty stadiums and no merchandise sale. I think he is right to question our way of doing things and for sure the manager does make a difference, look where they were last season and where they are now. The same players believe in themselves now under LVG while they didn't under Moyes.

When people have nothing good to say about the club, seemingly can't enjoy when we win like our boy flamey here then what's the point? Everyone questions what the club is doing in some form or another but at least it's generally balanced, again unlike flame boy here.

I think the OP is a extreme and overly negative. What is the point of moaning about what we have failed to do over 25 years? That's just the way life is ... everyone goes through ups & downs. When we were at the top they hadn't done well for so many years.
So my view is that we should focus on the period FSG have been in charge and also be constructive. And here I do agree to some extent with the sentiments of the opening post.
We can perhaps cut FSG some slack for the first couple of years, due to them being new to the game. And we're thankful to them from getting us out of the H&G mess.
However, the BR years have been where I believe we've been below par. It was impossible for us to close the financial gap quickly so we needed to be smart. More importantly, the imminent foreseeable retirement of Fergie gave us an ideal opportunity to catch up.
When BR was appointed we had a head start on the uncertainty that was to follow at united. In addition, we had the extreme good fortune of having Luis Suarez. And everything seemed to be in our favour.
However, somehow we blew it ... and for that FSG do have to take a large part of the responsibility. In my eyes, FSG and BR stand accused of:
- failures in transfer policy: overpriced mediocre players when everything had fallen into place for us to strike with top quality additions - failures in man-management: Gerrard, Sterling, Henderson at a time when we needed full focus on the problems on the pitch - failures in coaching and tactics (the defence and the crunch games) - failures in stadium development: it's taken so long and all we'll get now is 8,500 seats for £100m outlay. Some would even argue FSG appointed the wrong manager... but I'd say that given our financial disadvantages it was worth a shot and there is some evidence that it could work. But BR has also failed to address the fundamentals, i.e. a solid keeper and defence.
'I was only in the game for the love of football - and I wanted to bring back happiness to the people of Liverpool.' Bill Shankly
'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish

I was going to post something similar you beat me to it flames. Look at Man Uniteds turnover and other clubs like bayern. They have good infrastructure which generates wealth something we don't have and will never have not while these owners are in charge. Because of that United can attact the best managers who will have the biggest budgets who will have the best players they may have dips and disappointments but in general terms and over the long term they will be at the top. Liverpool FC are not in that league our ground development is nothing more than pathetic and a laughing stock. As for players we will be dealing in scraps the clubs like man united don't want. It's fine saying go and support man united then but surely no sensible liverpool fan should be accepting of this situation.

Yes you are negative but so are lots on here and it seems it isn't just BR and FSG that should be blamed. We buy [oops] players every season and last season we had money to burn. We stumble, fail to plan and fail in general when clubs like City, United, Spurs, Everton, Chelsea buy better and sometimes smarter than we do. Is this down to scouting, inability or just luck, I think not. I for one will not be arsed about the coming transfer window as I've seen decades of sh!te come through the doors. Do we blame the committee as is the popular option here or do we blame our manager. The manager who can make us play attacking football but have no clue how to defend. Everyone has an opinion and no one on here should think theirs are a rule or measure of some kind. Forums in general allow for discussion and differences of opinion.
