yep he's a player that not many people talks about but i agree he's a good prospect. liverpool fans here in sweden is keeping an eye on him and he has improved very much since he joined pool.

but it's not like rafa has done great work with the youth setup. i mean he has signed 100's of youth players since he came here and the only one who has made some kind of contribution is insua. hopefully pacheco is one the way too but 2 players out of 100's is not great.

i think kenny has done a good job since he came back. signing sterling was great business and hopefully we will sign jonjo too.

agreed but there are plenty of exciting prospects - whether they make it or not remains to be seen. Let's not forget it took Wenger 7 years before he got any benefit from investing in youth players.

Saw something today that we hope to sign 15-year-old Savedalens forward Kristoffer Peterson.

Anyone know anything about him?

thanks guys smile

the thought of alex kacaniklic bombing down the left and raheem bombing down the right fills me with hope for future who knows maybe a new golden generation of youth is coming through, not forgetting danny pacheco who can be our new keegan/dalglish type player bit of creativity in and around the box

about kristoffer peterson:-

The 15-year-old, who plays primarily as a striker but can also operate 'in the hole', is due to move to Merseyside to join the Anfield youth set-up from Savedalens IF.

Having impressed the Liverpool coaches with his work-rate, commitment, and natural talent, Peterson will also enjoy schooling and tuition away from the training ground.

And the player's agent Robert Bengtsson Barkroth said this was an important part of the deal.

'We understand Liverpool are willing to offer an education package that will include school and studies,' he said.

true, hopefully it wont take long before we can produce some real great players.

dont know a thing about peterson but he was on the verge of signing a contract with a team in our highest division but now it looks like he may join pool instead.

my thoughts on the youth set up are rafa has fetched nobody through apart from insua he signed a boat load of kids and they dont get a chance ,so why is this, our youths dont cum through they get sold on to lower league teams, why is this when the mancs sell a lot of there youth back into the prem its obvoius there standerd of player at that level is a lot high.I just hope now that kenny is invoved we might start to bring more talent through.

because we were light years behind the likes of Arsenal and Man U due to Houllier not investing in youth whatsoever, so noone wanted to come to us.

Under Rafa we are now managing to get some of these players ahead of our rivals.

Man U and Arsenal were both in for Sterling
