thought i would first introduce myself to the board, im mark from wrexham been a liverpool fan since 1991 (aged 7)

I have seen raheem play on the lfctv channel for the under 18s and i must admit he looks to be an amazing prospect and looks much better than what we have in the reserves, but the question really is will rafa give him a chance to shine with us?
ok sending him onloan wouldnt be terrible but in my opinion i would give him his chance in the first team in the next year or two. It didnt harm james milner or WR playing in first team from such a young age, i do beleive raheem will wow us in the future

Hi Mark welcome to koptalk!

It will be very interesting in keeping an eye on this lad, lets hope we see him sooner rather than later in the first team.

Hi there Mark from Wrexham welcome to koptalk,

Sterling looks like a good prospect,I heard QPR want him on loan for next season, personally i think that would be wise because they have done a pretty good job with him so far.

welcome mark! smile

i agree sterling looks like a great prospect and hopefully he alongside some of the others will make it into the first team in the future. but im also sceptical, rafa won't even give youths the chance in carling cup. if our promising youth players are going to keep on developing they must get chances with the 1st team.

Graham Dorrans should be signed too, good addition to the squad.

Damn it we need a transfer thread started, anyone up for it?,i cant bring myself to do it because it needs to be done properly this time, not the usual twenty names a day in different threads debacle.

I think the capture of Raheem shows how much Liverpool have come since Benitez took charge.

Houllier had left nothing by way of youth talent and we now have quite a few exciting prospects coming through.

Not seen much of him yet so not sure how far away he is from 1st team opportunities but think he scored against the bluenoses on his academy debut so hopefully he is on the right track.

He's only 15 though, so think he has a bit longer to wait

thank you for the welcome guys!

yes maybe first team football at championship level would be beneficial for raheem maybe that would further develop him i cant help but feel excited about this kid, pace and trickery and a positive thinking winger who gets to the byline

i also think alex kacaniklic is another player that should be breaking through soon he is hot prospect..

i agree ged did nothing to improve our academy, the only good thing he did was to introduce stevie to the 1st team.

but it's not like rafa has done great work with the youth setup. i mean he has signed 100's of youth players since he came here and the only one who has made some kind of contribution is insua. hopefully pacheco is one the way too but 2 players out of 100's is not great.

i think kenny has done a good job since he came back. signing sterling was great business and hopefully we will sign jonjo too.
