So this will be ready by next season? Yes, and the season after, and the season after, and the season....

Man United and Man City are going to be quaking in their boots when they see that. They have been ignoring us for the better part of the decade, so there won't be any major change for a stadium. If we bought Messi, only then the would.

After waiting at least 15 years for the world class stadium we were promised its all a bit underwhelming and unambitious. Better than nothing but could have done so much more I have raised this before and the answer received is that we can't afford a new stadium the sums don't add up you see return on something or other. We could get new owners who take a more visionary long term view but here again we have a problem no such owners exist anywhere in the world and this is a certain fact. I expect we'll find out in the next few years. It is an investment for FSG so I fully expect them to sell the club when they feel they can get maximum value. Given that they seem to have shelved the plan to extend the Anfield road end (Or at least talked it down) I think that will be soon after the main stand is complete as long as we are in the champions league. I would be very surprised if they sold as the club price will be even higher, thus harder to find a buyer.

so all that time and effort just for some additional seats at the top of one side? no improvement in the match day experience for the existing 45,000 seats then.

I hate the premise that as long as people will pay its acceptable that's abusing supporters based on history the club should be bigger than that. I am pretty sure people would pay to watch liverpool stood in a bucket of mud but that does not make it acceptable.

Who has the real power to reduce and increase ticket prices ?!!! The club I believe they work on short term supply and demand and let the future take care of itself I believe that's because FSG are not planning to be here much longer the small ground and large demand for liverpool based on what happened 30 years ago is masking many thousands of fans backing away this will be found out big time if the club have a bad spell on the field they are appealing to a reducing number if people the higher the price the smaller the market is. That's common sense

The ticket prices is comparable to United, Arsenal and Chelsea who all have high demands otherwise how do you differentiate who should get a ticket.

Aresenal and chelsea are in London England's capital City and one of the wealthiest cities in the world liverpool is 250 miles away and one of europes poorest cities currently and culture / demographics wise light years different. Also arsenal have a world class stadium, we don't. Manchester United are cheaper than liverpool in terms of the lowest entry price again United have a world class stadium where you are not crammed into a small seat like a sardine. Manchester City who also have a world class stadium are half the ticket price of liverpool. Liverpool need to have a long term pricing structure that brings revenue but builds the long term customer base which pretty much is what city and to an extent United are doing.

If Liverpool is one of the poorest cities in Europe, then with the way the game us going now where money is everything, we do not have a chance if we focus on locals who have no money according to you. Only chance is the global fan base which can increase commercial deals + TV money, but for this we need to win things. FSG's plan therefore looks the most realistic but we have to buy players better.
