Have to admit, I'd be happier if it was a full new stadium time lapse instead of just a stand.

After waiting at least 15 years for the world class stadium we were promised its all a bit underwhelming and unambitious. Better than nothing but could have done so much more

I have raised this before and the answer received is that we can't afford a new stadium the sums don't add up you see return on something or other. We could get new owners who take a more visionary long term view but here again we have a problem no such owners exist anywhere in the world and this is a certain fact.

Regarding the owners, I'm sure there are some out there that could buy us but you have to ask yourself why they haven't? I'm no real fan of FSG so if be happy if they sold to the likes you're getting at.

I expect we'll find out in the next few years. It is an investment for FSG so I fully expect them to sell the club when they feel they can get maximum value. Given that they seem to have shelved the plan to extend the Anfield road end (Or at least talked it down) I think that will be soon after the main stand is complete as long as we are in the champions league.

I think in the long-run this re-development will be a waste of money. Can still see us getting a new stadium in the next 10-15 years (pending on who is in charge of the club).

I think you could be right I always felt the centenary Kop and anfield road redevelopments were a waste of money back then with more foresight we could probably have built a new ground twenty years ago. But that's water under the bridge i would not be surprised to see new owners within the next five years who would redevelop on stanley park making this new stand the biggest waste if money in football history
