No Del I wasn't expecting the ending either it was enjoyable.
I watched mystic river as well it was good all the way through but I thought we were left hanging at the end don't you think?

Wow, I've just discovered this thread, never even noticed it before.

I saw the drop recently too, at first thought it was a bit run of the mill, American crime thriller, everyone's a wiseguy, hustling etc. Was actually pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, a really good film. Tom Hardy and Tony S were really good.

I was the same way Kop, watched it on a plane and I was thinking this isn't really going anywhere until.......
Dennis Lehane wrote Gone baby gone too, another good one.

'Fargo' completed.

Only 1 season x 10 episodes.
True story, very very good with a dramatic end.
Excellent.

Far more enjoyable watching these excellent filums and series than watching our team I'm VERY sad to say. cry

I watched Whiplash the other night and enjoyed it very much. Not big into jazz music but it kept me interested throughout and the ending was brilliant

'Great Bear Stakeout'real life documentary following the lives of a Mommy Grizzly her babee cub and a particularly nasty bully Bear was a 2 part docu. that I found particularly intriguing too.
Set in Alaska with some fantastic scenery.

Commentated by Billy Connolly.
Lots of drama, sadness and beauty.

It's funny Wolseley, I've never really been into filums and docu's that much tbh, but since I was given 6 months free trial onto Netflix courtesy of Virgin when I altered my tv package in December, I've become totally hooked! laugh

'Hunt for Red Oktober' was a good filum, even though I'd seen it before....many years ago,

I'm also finding that being able to stop and start watching at leisure, that i can follow 'plots' much more clearly now too.
If you miss something vital or don't quite comprehend, you can simply pause, and go back.
Too many distractions normally when you watch this stuff with family around you.

All in all, a much better way of viewing imo.

Netflix is my favourite procrastination tool when it comes to having to do uni work. Currently hooked on Sons of Anarchy at the moment.
