I've been an active member on here for about 3 weeks but signed up longer. There are recurring themes but ownership of the club is to me, the biggest.

Do you want the Glaziers model, Abramovic, Abu Dhabi or DIC or similar. Does it matter as long as they can buy your pain? Is no corruption, theft and human right above the need to win the Premier League.

A better question would be what's premiershio football is all about ?

Everyone will have a different viewpoint, but for me LFC is about being champions of England. To give the various competitions a scale of priority:

Winning the League: 75%
Winning the CL: 15%
Winning the FA Cup: 8%
Winning the League Cup: 2% (why does this poxy competition even exist???!)

For me it’s always been about showing ambition. About showing the ambition to be playing the beautiful game beautifully. About the ambition to be competing at the highest level. About the ambition to win in all and every game and competition. About the ambition to be tops in our field of endeavour.
With our current owners we are not showing the ambition to be competing at the highest level in the transfer market. We are not showing the ambition to be competing at the highest level in the Stadium front. We are not showing the ambition to be competing to attract the best players on wage levels. We are not showing the ambition to be tops in our field of endeavour.
That for me is not good enough. Is it good enough for you Mr. nogger64?

Honestly, I think the way the Champions League places are assigned is bogus, and all this top 4 nonsense has devalued the other competitions, even the FA cup, the oldest trophy in Association Football. Leagues like England and Germany and Spain are sending 1 champion team and 3 teams that aren't. The Cl places should go to League winners and cup winners, and the 4th spot that has to go to qualifying rounds should go to League runners up.

The Europa league should involve the 3rd-5th place teams, unless the league winners also win the cups (in which case the places would go to the 3rd and 4th league finishes and the EL places would go to cup runners up). No more dump-ins from the group stage losers in the CL. There are too many fixtures in it anyway. This would A) make the competition less of a royal pain because of how long it is and B) raise the level of competition. Imagine the EL this year if Barca and Chelsea were playing it. It would be much more exciting.

The big problem with the way the top 4 system works is it creates castes for teams, and it keeps the CL money with the big sides. A long haul like the league usually favors the big squads with the big money. The top 4 changes very little. But in a knock-out style competition, anything can happen. Teams like Swansea and Wigan and Birmingham have won them in recent years, and Sunderland and Bradford City and Cardiff have gotten to the finals. This would totally change the distribution of money in the European leagues and give the Cups the meaning and prestige they used to have.

So, showing ambition is, in your opinion, what? "competing at the highest level" Champions League; done.

You're not getting my point, FSG are taking a planned route; I understand it. My question was more to do with do you want to only play the game of sell to any shyster with deep pockets?

[oops] on port and responding to posters wanting only the 'perfect' option. The basic 'FSG are [oops]; we need DIC, Abu Dahabi, Qatari, Russian Oligarch money', regardless of what that means.

I'm asking what that means. Is that good enough for your club ?
