I agree with emp here, you can defintely get a better player then lucas(8m) for 50-100k. Any player in championship or 3rd divisino can play better i will gurantee u that. The other thing about buying players inside england is always a good idea. they been there, they seen it all and know how to deal with it. There is always a definite risk buying players from abroad and have a 50% chance of failing, unless they are a real quality that can cope. I see madrid games occasionally and to be honest, I think we can get a better player then VDV and younger instead of getting him because i dont see anything special about him.

Van der Vaart for 7-10 mil would be a class signing. Right now are midfield isn't good at ball retention. Last year when we had alosno we kept the ball better in Midfield allow more efficient attacks by building attacks from midfield istead of building all they way from the back.

We lack strenghen in depth and a passer in midfield, and any one under £10 mil who can solve this problem would be a bargain, considering the current prices in the market.

For 8 mil. Eouros he will be a good signing, even if he isn't a first team regular, i think it will be good buy to strengthen the squad too. Which has been a problem for a long time.
