One thing that's been missed from this thread (I think?) is will all this new found money cancel out the riches of City, Chelsea & Utd to an extent??? It might just reel them back into reality with the rest of us

They'll always be richer than everybody else, at least while they're owned by their present owners, especially city and chelsea.

Since it's coming into consideration, the 2 clubs that have spent the most net are United and Arsenal, Chelsea has sold first before buying in the last 2 windows.

People will lose interest simply because they can no longer afford to watch their club either at the stadium or now in their own home. I am reading in today's newpapers Sky will be increasing to £900 a year. If you are crazy enough to go to anfield without any travel costs or only fir premiership games that is £2000 a year. I am sure some will pay that but for the mass market there are decreasing numbers who can afford that. The fact sky's shares fell by three per cent shows the markets and investors think it's unviable. The market is assuming many will walk from sky products as for the stadium fan that's a complete joke now all the money going into football goes into players wages not a penny to help loyal fans who attend the games without which there would be no television product

Nobody wants to kill a golden goose but they will try to get the best out of it. There is probably a significant number of people who can still afford it even if not the majority. It's called capitalism, this is how it is everywhere these days, not only in football, survival of the fittest unfortunately. Try to vote socialism next time, not sure it will be better though.

The financial pages of the newspapers were saying BT had got a more moderate deal sky had deliberately over bid to try to shut out BT because if sky lost football the organisation would be at stake. So it's nothing to do with prices / revenues but blind panic and is a bad deal for the company commercially hence the shareholders reaction. As always with premiership football the supporters come last and many will cancel their subscriptions I think I may go to now tv and pay for the odd game. A small decision but one that will be made in millions of homes over the next few years,

the fans are being taken for granted. the only option is to boycott games. but it needs fans to act in unision.

'We should have made a signing or two in the last couple of transfer windows.' Vish
