guys we're undefeated in the last 12 matches. we started off complete wank, but with Sturridge returning and Sterling coming back from his break, we've got more than a chance of making top 4.

I was going to mention Lucas shielding the back 4. It certainly has helped take the pressure off, and it's freed Stevie up. His lack of legs isn't being exposed the way it was earlier.

results at the weekend have certainly re-ignited my optimism for top four this season when a couple of months ago i was more or less ready to write it off completely.

credit to rodgers for turning it around.

there are so many teams struggling for consistency this year so maybe it could go down to the wire. if the return of sturridge helps add more goals to our game and counter acts the amount of errors we make at the back then theres no reason why we can't make it, even possibly make a case for 3rd.

arsenal, spurs, united all looking dodgy and in my experience, teams like southampton who are the surprise package tend to drop off after christmas. similar to how newcastle did a couple of years ago. i'd be surprised if they kept it up all season.

Villa away Gerrard must play. He has a good scoring record there IIRC.

after the spurs 3-0 win away from home we looked like the side of last season with sturridge leading the line. since sturridge had been out and up until the basel game we didn't look capable of winning any match. but since then i do believe we've turned a corner and the return of sturridge will only reinforce that.

its simple, if we score more goals we'll win more points and with sturridge up front, if he can recapture the form of last season we'll be a much, much better side.

i think we'll over take west ham and spurs with relative ease. if we can beat arsenal away, united at home, spurs at home and southampton away theres no reason we can't finish above them at the end of the season.

most of the sides above us are looking shakier as the weeks go on where i feel our form is gradually getting better and better. its possible... have faith!

Big if's these games, I'll be amazed if we win at Arsenal although would expect us to beat Spurs at home.

Honestly, Arsenal have been the least convincing of the usual big boys to me. I'm more worried about Southampton than them, really.
