Reports are claiming that Liverpool have recalled Assaidi from his loan at Stoke ahead of his transfer to U.A.E club Al-Ahly. Apparently the transfer is worth 4.75 million pounds. Not a bad bit of business of true.

The Telegraph claim the 26-year-old has flown to Dubai to hold talks over the move.

Made some money on him though so good move. Get him gone and make sure the money goes towards quality.

Sounds good to me. But it could be to help with FFP. I saw somewhere something about City selling Negredo and Navas to help finance deals to keep within the FFP they are restricted to.

If Lucas is on way out too we could be getting ready to finance a big deal ourselves.

If FFP is an issue for us then perhaps we ought to do some wheeling and dealing. And if it is tight then perhaps there is a lesson to be learned in having so many players out on loan that are clearly never going to play for us again.

Also reports that we are after Nathan Redmond for £10m. Please hope this is not true. Two goals in 50 odd games for Norwich and now playing at Championship level. We dodged a bullet not resigning the prolific Ince. We have Ibe to return who is better this season than Redmond so why would be interested in him? Especially as we need strikers and a keeper.

There isn't too much to read into this but the fact that people even give a sh!t about making 2-3 million pound profit on a nobody is just another log on the fire of how mediocre we are becoming. Big whoop, we shouldn't have signed him in the first place if we want top 4, we should have put that 2 million on top of what we spent on another ridiculously poor signing, added some more and signed someone to actually improve an average (as far as top 4 is concerned) first eleven.

Yes plaudits for getting a decent amount of cash for someone who hasn't seen any play for us but is that what we are in the business of? You think the other genuine top 4 and title contenders give a toss about making a couple of million on a nobody?
