Pretty certain he was signed early in the summer - made sense to loan him back to Lille at the time and get another season under his belt... it also looked like Borini was on his way out and and another striker was coming in - we got Balo instead shocked

... I've just done the unthinkable and looked him up on youtube for a refresher.. crazy
He looks very rough around the edges, his touch leaves a lot to be desired and looks a very, very average striker.. in the French league eek

I'm not gonna hold my breath, he doesn't quite look the next Messiah.. frown

Maybe that was the only way we could complete the deal? It wasn't necessarily our choice. Besides, he looks like absolute garbage.

Our scouts have once again shown the world what they're worth!

He made 2 good games in the WC (Not Water Closet) and off we went and just had to sign him up! eek

Strange that no one else went in and took him off our hands (Chelsea for example). Could it have been because we offered about 2 times his worth?

It's a shame we aren't prepared to show the same kind of determination when it comes to real ready made class players! tired

If I remember right, I'm sure he said we'd been tracking him since he was about 15 as he said he was surprised to learn that. If that's the case it wasn't based on two WC games. Plus , wasn't he pretty damn good for Lille last season?

And how well has he fared this season? 0 goals since October from what I understand. Well in that department he would certainly bed in quickly with our other strikers then! laugh

Leave him be til the end of the season - maybe even pay them the £7mil to keep him shocked
