BR needs to grow a set and drop Gerrard permanently, how we go from excelling vs Swansea to that poor performance vs Leicester is easily explained.
The inclusion of Gerrard meant dropping the excellent Manquillo to make room for Gerrard in the team and Henderson role in the team changed.
It is clear for all to see that Gerrards legs are gone, and evident that we play better with Henderson and Lucas in midfield.
Apart from scoring 2 pens, which Lallana could have dispatched quite easily, Gerrard offered nothing to the team.

BR is star struck when it comes to Gerrard. He will continue to play him at the expense of the team.

I agree with most of what you say but Manquillo isn't 'excellent'.

Manquillo gave an excellent performance vs Swansea, in fact the entire team played well.
We should of kept the same winning team, apart from suspensions of course, which only required Toure coming in for Skrtel.
But why we changed completely to accommodate Gerrard is beyond my reckoning.
I don't think Gerrard will get a new contract in the summer, BR even said that he has been a good servant and should be allowed to negotiate with other clubs.
I agree with that choice, I don't agree with playing him to detriment of the team.

What formation did we actually start with today because I've just read BR's post match interview and he was talking about 4 at the back?
Like you say the only change we should have made today was Toure for Skrtel due to suspension!

No idea what formation we were playing, Gerrard spent most of it out of position whatever formation it was.

I think we have more of a Brendan Rodgers problem than a Gerrard problem, personally.
