Good chance Lovren will come into the team against Leicester.

I still think he will come good.

Just to remind yourself, watch this video, Lovren was a top CB last season https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEpoLdEeNE0

I know he was doing at a small club in the video but he did it in the CL aswell in Lyon.

Also I know its not much to go by but in preseason vs dortmund he was magnificent on his debut.

He may feel more comfortable playing with Lucas in front of him.

See no reason to bring in a guy at such a crucial position who is playing abysmally.

Can we not shuffle the back line without him having to step in? He should be in the reserves playing until he appears to have recaptured some form and confidence. Until then I don't want him anywhere near that back line.

He was not very good at Lyon though.

Toure should take Skrtel's place against Leicester, isn't Lovren injured anyway?

Our scouts need a major clear out. The only scouting we should do is for new ones.

If Lovren is fit he should play, especially considering Toure is off to the African Nations cup in January.

Better for Lovren to regain his confidence vs a small team at Anfield.

Doesn't matter about the African Cup Of Nations, we need to win every game which means we should be playing our best team, that doesn't include a player who has been a liability all season in Lovren.

Besides, if you read BR's interview on Lovren it looks unlikely that he will be fit anyway.

As I said if Lovren is fit.

And Lovren has not been a liability at all, he is in his first season and was playing in a back 4 with a goalkeeper who was not communicating with the defenders.

This new formation would suit Lovren very well, he is a cultured, technical play, as is Can who is excelling in our back 3.

I have more doubts on whether Toure or Skrtel can successfully adapt to our new formation.

The defenders who are most suited to this formation would in my view be

Can
Lovren
Illori
Sahko

Agree on Can, he looked very assured against Swansea.

I'm a Sakho fan so am glad he is in the team.

Skrtel seems to be one of the first names on the team sheet and I can't see that changing in the near future.

Toure is our most experienced and vocal defender, something that we need in terms of organisation and leadership, hence why I would choose him over Lovren all day long.
