4 teams left:

Chelsea
Sheffield Utd
Liverpool
Tottenham

33 % chance of a Chelsea draw, and then 50 % chance of a home/away draw.

And what do we get?

Chelsea at home first!

Worst possible outcome of course! mad

Chelsea will be in the final waiting for us anyway. Might aswell take them down now and have an easy winnable final.

That's my strategy too the only downside is we have more chance of beating them in a single game rather than two because they are better than us, that's clear

Hope we can hang in there for first leg, Coz after second leg, Chelsea play Man City the following weekend, so may rest some players.

Looks like you are taking quite some interest in what you called a mickey mouse cup not so long ago, actually, the year we won it under who you call our worst manager of all times, or something close. Times do change

Would you rather we didn't bother then vish? I don't think it's top of anyone's list at the start of the season but it's a piece if silverware and within reach so why not want to win it?

I never give a toss about the league cup unless we make it through to the semis, then it's actually worth paying a bit of interest - the rounds preceding that are nothing but training matches.
I wont be in tears if we don't win it, both of the English cups have become so meaningless they may as well scrap them both and give the players the day off.

What else is there for him to take an interest in regarding Liverpool this year? It is a Mickey Mouse cup and means naff all to be quite honest. But lets not forget we have to accept that this is our level now, hoping to win the odd domestic cup and the odd 4th place finish. Our aspirations now are different from a few years ago, FSG are seeing to that.
