I don't believe there is a single member of this forum who knows for sure WHO buys our players. If players are bought based on Rodger's evaluation of them, then I think that his days at the club are numbered and the longest he could last is till the end of the season, depending on availability of a suitable replacement, but if FSG know that the new signings were not Brendan's choice, at least not solely his, then I see no reason why they should sack him, especially after what he'd achieved last season.

It does not happen often I agree with marko it would be crazy to sack rodgers now only to replace by a half measure that we regret again in 12 months time. The club needs to take a long hard look at the structure the personnel and the processes because our problems go far beyond the manager. And marko only pointed out rumors that were occurring in Serbia nothing wrong in that especially when they turned out to be true. This does not mean in think nothing is wrong but we can't afford to keep messing up like this I agree, it's short terminism that has lead here in the first place. Hodgson has a strong season with Fulham, appoint him, Kenny does well on an interim basis, appoint him, Rodgers has a strong season with Swansea, appoint him. Countless players like Lallana, Carroll, take your pic from our long list of catastrophic failures, they do alright for a small team over a short period and we pay crazy prices for these players that anyone with half a brain could see wouldn't work out. A massive shake up needs to happen. Replacing Rodgers with some other no body who is a massive gamble is pointless but for short term feel good factor. We will be having this convo again in a years time.

Is anyone watching Jordon Ibe make that azpilicueta lad look a mug in the Chelsea game? Has run past him quite a few times, more direct than Sterling, more of a classic winger. Looks a fu!k site better than Marko or lallana though

I think a review meeting is bollox! Every man and his dog can see with their own eyes what has gone wrong at LFC. We had 1 top player last season, and he went for some £ 75 M to Barca. We replaced him with Lamberts and Lallanas for a combined sum of about £ 120 M. Now it turns out it doesn't work. Is it so hard to understand that class eventually pays off? Why else do top clubs persist in buying top class players? Which other top clubs are at the top of the table without top class players? And as we have seen in another thread the other day: Liverpool have exactly 0 (zero) top class players atm! Coincidence?

well he can only blame himself, too busy with his teeth and new young one .fecking disgrace bringing someone like balotelli into this club..ashamed of himself he should be
he loves himself way too much does BR. got lazy, believed his own brentisms . what a opportunity he had to make a badass team - what a joke of a team he has atm The 'buck' stops with the manager but I don't believe that our performances are all his fault. Suarez & Sturridge aside, we are still able to field the same team that battered all in our way last season. Did the performances of suarez, sterling & sturridge simply hide the fact that everyone else was rubbish? It's looking that way, isn't it? Sadly, the players he brought in have done nothing and we probably have better in our development squad or on the fringe of the 1st team. In all honesty, based on what we've seen so far, not one of the current 1st team (sterling aside perhaps) deserves to be playing for the club...and I include Gerrard in that. He gives nothing anymore other than a threat from set pieces. The performances of Suarez and Sturridge did hide how bad we were defensively, for sure. And then, any manager can have one good season.

I think the meeting is bullshet, a smokescreen to lower the pressure on the owners just before the january transfer window. If something comes of this and we start paying big money for top players then I would be extremely surprised.
Back to Back World Champions baby!
