Liverpool will undergo a complete review of their player recruitment strategy after struggling to implement a host of new signings this season.

The Merseyside club sit 11th in the Premier League and have been knocked out of the Champions League group stages, with two wins from their last 10 games in all competitions.

After Luis Suarez was sold to Barcelona for £75million, the Reds spent over £100m on eight new players last summer, including £16m on Mario Balotelli.

Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor understands a meeting will be held between head of recruitment Dave Fallows, managing director Ian Ayre and manager Brendan Rodgers ahead of the January transfer window.

"There is talk today that Liverpool are going to have a full review their transfer procedure; how their committee decides on transfer targets and how they go about bringing them in," O’Connor said.

Is this BR stating he has little or no control of the players that are coming in?

If, and only if this was and still is the case, can he be forgiven, and if that is true, then hang the men who make the final call.

By review I hope they mean mass firing of any c!nt involved in transfer dealings for us over the past 3 years.

I mentioned a week or two ago that thhere were strong rumours in Serbia that the transfer committee is about to be broken up or removed or whatever...seems its happening.

Do you still think BR is more valuable to LFC than Suarez?

BR is part of transfer committee so maybe FSG are planning on another day of long knives like when they came over and got rid if dead wood?

Part of me thinks that BR is safe until the summer because of what we did last season...but on the other hand, FSG see Liverpool Football Club purely as a business and will make whatever changes they feel will benefit them financially. The nail in BR's coffin will surely be the disastrous summer transfer window - the club will see that he spent £120m on players that he doesn't use very much and have lost a huge amount in value already. I would say his days are numbered and he knows it...
