Full circle.....ie
FSG gave Kd millions to spend and he wasted it....
BR replaces Kd .....sells most of his signings, deadwood and lfc make huge losses
New manager replaces BR and the above starts all over again ...
Lfc have started n completed so many circles in the past 20+ yrs .... We are all dizzy
I can't believe FSG have done the same mistake twice ie
Gave Kd and BR millions to spend and both have wasted it....
Wud of been better using that money on a new stadium

Yes largely, with minimal success stories people were already calling for shake up in who chooses transfers as we had more failures than successes. Not everyone just goes with the grain and tide of immediate results. There is a bigger picture that many have not moved from

That is actually true Wilks. Many if not the vast majority were talking about that first raft of signings being a complete waste of money for as long as I can remember and sadly it hasn't got much better since.

What got better was that FSG stepped up and made more funds available for new signings. But as already has been mentioned - all that money seems to have gone down the drain for even more/worse dross than the first round of utter shÃte.

Anyone that finished 2nd playing the kind of football that we were playing should have been given the money to spend. It's just a shame that we didn't buy 2 world class players instead of a load of squad players. Sanchez is the one that hurts the most because we could have threatened to KO the Suarez deal to get that done.

Houllier finished 2nd and got sacked the following year because the board wouldn't pay the necessary money on top players to take us forward.......
Benitez finished 2nd and got sacked the following year because the board wouldn't pay the necessary money on top players to take us forward......

Barcelona had no power to force him to sign for liverpool.
