If they've done the bare minimum with investment, why are we in breach of FFP?
I understand they made exceptional losses above the permitted £35m. But in the grand scheme of things these are small beer if getting turnover is the key then building a new stadium and marketing the club as a top player is the way. Wheras the devewlopment of the mainb stand will bring extra revenue in broad terms its peanuts and over the long term will see us falling behind ever further. The only way I can see is Markos masterplan of Liverpool winning the league almost every year such that billions of fans want to watch liverpool and spend money. That plan this season has not got off to the best of starts and I would think we need a manager a cross between Bob Paisley / Bill Shankly / Brian Clough / Alex Ferguson but even if we could find such a person would he work under FSG,s meddlng ? or would he go to a bigger club. You can faff about with FFP rules re techicalities the big picture is we are a medium sized unambitious club and the sooner we get used to it the better for all of us.
