People on here seem to favour a return. I would love to say that this would be the ideal solution, but the truth is, it wouldn't.
People need to remember what actually happened during rafas reign. At one point, he had it to a tee, we were on the verge of something special, we had world class players in Torres, Stevie, Masch, Alonso, Carra.
1 season, 1 season of serious backing in the transfer market and we were there. It wasn't that rafas 1st choice signings were crap, it was that he never got most of them, due to a lack of backing.
Ring any bells?, think FSG would be any different?, no chance. BR put himself in the same position as rafa, aside of the fact that BR was given the 130m rafa never had, albeit, he lost suarez.
But my oh my has he wasted it. On a total crock of sh*t. Truth is, BR dug his own grave, bigtime, i will not have any of the "transfer committee" bull thats flying around, as he shouldn't have signed the new contract, if he didn't have final say, which is exactly what he said he wouldn't do.
Rafas legacy was that he won the champions league, with the equivalent in quality, of the team BR has had this season. Traore, cisse, biscan etc. Although I would love for him to return, if for nothing else, just to sort that pathetic defence which BR is completely incapable of.
and 1 last point, Joe allen - please leave our club. I don't even want to go into slagging him off, just that is enough, as he really isnt worth the keyboard time.
Somebody on here asked the other day, whether we would prefer to return to the dull football and the 1-0 wins. My answer is simple, give me dull football every day of the week, compared to the horsesh*t we are displaying now.
