Agree with all of that. Sends a terrible message in a team after numerous screw-ups that you won't be dropped and a replacement given at least a shot.

A month or so I believe I said, but hands up it could have been a little longer. However, as Stan has said on watching numerous players at Anfield over the years you kind of know more often than not very quickly whether they look good enough and sometimes it's not even tangible. There's that whole debate about settling in periods and all that too which a lot think is complete BS.

I remember he said I think in one of the pre-season tours he thought Aspas looked woeful and he was spot on. Not saying I'm in Stan's league but I think Vish and myself had grave concerns about Mignolet very early on. As with the new guys hope they all do some miraculous u-turn in the coming months but not banking on it with Migs.

What makes this all even worse is that we let Reina go for £2m!!!!! That's peanuts for a top, top keeper.

It makes you wonder what the fallout between BR and Reina was about to justify his sale and for that stupid amount.

We are agreeing more and more these days. Even if Reina is not top, top, he is much better that Mignolet.

Indeed, had the same feeling with Aspas and Alberto by the way. There was no need to buy Aspas and sell Downing at a lower fee, just as replacing Shelvey with Alberto

On loan at Malaga where he is warming their bench.

I'm sure it was more about cutting the wage bill than just the fall out. FSG certainly wouldn't have been begging them to patch things up as they'd have to keep paying his £100k or whatever a week.
