if rodgers stood back and let a committee buy all the players he shouldnt be in the job.

That's where he made his biggest mistake, and his second biggest mistake was not cashing in on his reputation at the end of last season and leaving along with Suarez. FSG and their policy will set his career back a few years if not finish him altogether.

Just look at the Remy deal going tits up for Mario. Remy would've suited us and Mario clearly doesn't so why sign him? Maybe the committee decided he was better value than Remy?

He has the option to resign if it's affecting his ability to do the job.

If he's here another season or two, I don't think he'll get better players in. He also probably won't have the same amount of cash to throw around. He seems lost without his two soldiers who were firing for Liverpool last season.

In fact he doesn't seem to be better at doing his job as Liverpool boss than would anyone of us Koptalkers.

Strange.

One would think that a knowledgeable football coach as BR would know much better than what he is showing at the moment.

What is he actually doing to our club?

he is doing the whole bullish thing, were he can't accept his decisions are wrong. hence balotelli starts every league game tho he has been total cack and actually is an insult to the jersey.

But you've suggested that we bring in Alonso or R Keane as manager....WTF do you seriously think that is some kind of realistic or insightful way forward? I don't claim to be all knowledgable but even i can see that this is bollox and it just highlights that most of us don't know what the fukc we're talking about.

BR has a very arrogant view to his way of playing. Last year the defence was the reason we missed the prem. A first class striker with a couple of young players pulled us through to a bloody good season. Our defence at the moment is a shambles. Have these guys forgot how mark a player? The amount of space given to the strikers against Chelsea was a bloody joke. Our right (particularly Johnson) and left backs (Moreno i am sure is playing to instructions) invite the opposition to cross balls by continuly standing off them, they invite pressure. Unfortunately BR is now being exposed as tactically arrogant and somewhat nieve. His subs v Chelsea were hard to work out, Can was playing well with Hendo off the pace, but Can gets subed? Overall he is trying the same old crap which has now become predictable. Time to change it up, either BR starts to look at other tactics and address the obvious or a new manager is needed.

If the manager doesn't have enough authority then he is the wrong manager, so if FSG want that kind of manager, then BR will not be sacked. I don't know what Keane would achieve, he's done nothing as a manager, same goes with Alonso. We need a manager who has experience at competing at the very top and winning trophies, otherwise no need changing. But I don't think we'll go very far with Rodgers.

Exactly. Until FSG fukk off we'll not get anyone 'better' than Rodgers.

no its pure sense..BR is a theoretical manager, as is the fashion these days since wegner and mourinho. it is to my mind not the sure thing it should be. wenger has been shown to have huge problems sorting out his defence, br the same. i love a manager who was the best player of his generation, especially if they were captain organizers. in alonso's case it's clear to see from how he plays footy that he has a massive brain, and keane is a pure winner. give either of them a top club, i.e us, and they would do brill. BR talks and thinks a good game, he has been found out tho
