I think this is our best option. Since we are keeping ball possession without any effect. We have good midfielders who can score. Coutinho sterling lallana main 3 who can alternate for false number 9 they are all good with ball and have pace and, all can score. We can cause all sort of issues for defenders if these 3 play plus another 3 midfielders who can support Gerrard, allen , and hendo.
This way we can control the game and momentum.
Suarez was almost like a false number 9.Our team will not be trying to make the striker score the goal all of the midfield will be pushing foward.
We don't seem to cross the ball well. So why not try something different? !!!

This current squad seems to be built to play this way.

Soz mate, don't agree, part of the issue is Mario is not a front striker, he as we have been told likes a striker so he can drop off and find space.

So we are sometimes playing with 6 Mids, based on the Mario effect (not his fault).

For me, the best way to score is to play with strikers and at to their strengths. This ain't happening for some reason so of course we'll not score much.

Don't know how BR will set up the team tonight. But I think playing 6 midfielders and no strikers against Real Madrid Away would be the best option.
