We are stuck with Mario now so we have to wait until studge is back to see if theres an improvement.
Apart from his row z efforts,his wrong decisions and annoying body language I do wonder if as far as our "could do better" midfield is concerned they don't really trust where Mario is/will be at any given time.
It looks as though they won't pass to to him because they can't trust he will even be in the correct position because he is so static and they will have too much back tracking to do if he is not there to receive the ball,just a thought.

Problem is we pretty much have to persist with him, BR has made his bed with Borini, he didn't even play him in the Carling Cup! As for Lambert I still have no idea why we signed him, he, like Balotelli clearly doesn't fit into our system but because it was only £4mil it was a bargain. It wasn't, that was another £4mil wasted!

I'd like to see Borini get a run through the middle, if not then it should be the team that started that second half last night.

So..because opta tells us that he has missed 4 sitters your saying that must mean the service to him has been good? To me its telling me his confidence is shot. I would rather support the boy to over come this...people are too quick to jump on a player these days (how many games has he played????). He needs sturridge up top with him. Give the man a season at least before sending him to the docks.

Yes this is what I mean. He has also had the most shots on goal and as he is not a 'do it yourself' player like Suarez, it does mean that he has been having at least acceptable service. How did you make it that he is not getting good service?

Ye your right, lets heep even more pressure on a guy whos been at our club a grand total of two months. Two months. So he has taken the most shots..
he's obviously trying to break his duct and get into some kind of form. He's picking the wrong options at times, granted,but i believe that because the chances
he gets are limited that he is taking on shots from areas that he shouldnt. Its a confidence thing..he's trying to get off the mark. Hence the "sitters" he's
missed - the guys is under pressure like any striker on a poor run.

He needs time to settle....has joined a team playing poorly (bar one or two exceptions)
and are leaking terrible terrible goals at an alarming rate.But hey - its mario's fault..why..because the media have convinced us of that...there
has been a witch hunt from day one. I dont get it..I thought us liverpool fans were actually a bit different here and would actually support our players.

If you don't make the space or the runs to create the opportunity for better service then what do you expect?

I expect a player..our player...to be given more time than 2 months before he is written off. Especially given our perfomances as a whole so far this season.

No denying our performances have been worrying but he's hardly been doing himself any favours and for a pro of his age it's unacceptable but painfully predictable .

The problem for me seems to be that his body language is never good. He never looks interested even if he is. He was never going to be a Suarez type player yet we seem to be expecting him to be.

He has also come out and said that his game doesn't suit him being a lone striker and guess what, Rodgers plays him as a lone striker. Mario has to try and make the best of it and maybe he is trying but this doesn't show through due to his body language suggesting he's not interested. But we all knew he was like that when he signed. He probably wouldn't look interested if he'd just scored a hattrick!

We're stuck with him until January now though so we have to hope that he has it in himself to turn this around. It may only take a couple of goals who knows. If not then I'm sure he'll be off in January. I think rugger is right to an extent that we're falling for the tabloids position on him instead of supporting him as we have with others. I know it's hard to support someone who doesn't look like he's trying though.
