He's not supposed to be a lone striker. He should be playing alongside someone up front or maybe used as an impact sub. Someone who provides a little bit of unpredictability and the possibilty of pulling a rabitt out of the hat.

The fault is entirely BRs for not sorting out the defence and for not making use of Borini & Lambert up front as well whilst Sturridge is absent... (or for buying Borini, Lambert & Balotelli in the first place)

Any blame should be for Rodgers, Rodgers is the manager not balotelli or any of the squad. Liverpool are underachieving big tim and it needs to be sorted

I have a feeling that there is no quick fix. We just don't have the defensive personnel and without Sturridge & Suarez to compensate for our defensive shambles we're stuffed.

I believe that the rest of the season is now about damage limitation. the priority for the next two windows will be rock solid cenre halves... nd perhaps keeper.

I actually feel sorry for Mario. There are times when he seems to be trying too hard. Rodgers seems to have faith in him seeing as he gets more game time while Lambert and Borini sits on the bench.Borini however doesn't seem to be a part of Rodgers future plans since he was ready to ship him off to Sunderland. Can't see Mario getting any worse, so I'll expect him to get around 10-12 goals.

Yea he just needs that's little bit of help getting the first one and i think he'll be away. He's trying way too hard.

Every shot he's trying to rocket or do something fancy instead of just getting it in the back of the net.

If he stops trying to hard and let the game come to him he'll inprove. Get his head up and not shoot every time he gets a yard.

If he scored that first chance he had against Tottenham I think he would have been away

If after spending more than 62m we still don't have the defensive personnel, then we have a major problem called Rodgers.

Keeper....., begovic or krul
Center half .. Leader .... Hummels or Spurs cb
Natural DM.... Khedira or de Jong
Wide player ... Kono or pedro
ACM...... Isco or mika
Striker ... Boney, reus!!

I wud like to see br sign ie
Khedira , kono and a striker in jan and hopefully with a lot of luck
Lfc can get a top 4 finish
And in the summer buy center back ACM keeper

There are 2 ways of looking at this.......

1) Ballotelli would have scored a brace yesterday had it not been for those greedy goal hangers, Caulker and Dunne. They denied him 2 simple tap ins which would have given him 3 goals in his last 6 games - that's not too bad for someone who has only just joined the club and didn't have a pre-season

2) Balotelli is sh!t.
