Is it just me or is he been given a tough time of it?! I mean theres countless articles already & media pundits (Souness to name one) coming out saying he isnt doing enough, its the same old Mario...he'll flop at liverpool..he's disruptive bla bla f**kin bla!
I think he's being treated very unfairly. I mean he's had a handful of games...in which i think he has done reasonably well considering the service he's been given! He's been playin up front on his own with little or no help coming from our 'attacking' players (Markovic, coutinho..and to some extend Sterling)..the defenders are doubling up on him..not to mention trying to test his temperment! He's having to drop deep to get a touch of the ball. Once we have Daniel back we'e going to see the real Mario.
I just dont think criticism is justified..am i alone?

I think he has fluffed a few opportunities, but I firmly believe he needs a partner. He's holding the ball up and liking things really well, but he gets frustrated by the way defenders are kicking the mess out of him and the lack of service. He gets isolated and drops deep. With Sturridge back, there will be less pressure on him, and a speedy foil that he can release on goal. The looked really good together VS Spurs, and I think the'll be good when Danny gets back.

I think some movement around his lack of movement will help.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Agree that he looked good v Spurs when up front with Sturridge. He's a great character, good for the game!!! but he has been given a hell of a time. Lumba's right though he needs a rocket up his a**e, more movement is needed.

He looked much better when he came on and was linking up with Stevie. Think we'll see a marked improvement once the squad is healthy. Think we'll put 5 or more past qpr.
Still not over his miss/Howard's save in the derby.

What he really needs is some protection from officials against defenders who are playing on his temperament. You can see it in his eyes after every nasty foul that he is trying hard to control his anger, but you never know when the bubble will burst.

he has flopped so far, and BR has looked and sounded very harsh when discussing him..we are about the team and as BR said he has to park his ego or leave..not a good start for him at all. Knew it would be a crazy signing - the dude just won't push himself and thinks he is better than he is.

If you think he's not pushing himself, you haven't been watching. He's taken some shots that were a bit speculative, sure, but he's definitely put himself about. He's definitely working hard, regardless of the end product.

Gary Neville and Caragher put it well he is not a team player in terms of work rate and assists he is a goal scorer. If he does not score he is a total waste of time. That might be unfair but that was what they said. Caragher was also asked did you find him hard to play against he said no.
