It's been the general opinion on this forum that Sturridge and Coutinho had been Rodgers' best-perhaps only good- buys. Phillipe got as much praise last year as the stick he's getting this year. Talented players don't turn into bimbos overnight. It could be that he's finding difficulty adjusting to the new formation or method of play, or he's being played out of position, or just a slump in form-albeit lengthy- that could happen to any footballer. Whatever it is, its up to Brendan to bring the best out of his players.

He's a good footballer. I was one of the first to caution against those who thought he was our messiah and that we should build our team around him instead of Suarez. That kind of pressure won't help anyone. But to say that he's dross now is equally absurd. Mark my words, when Sturridge gets back, we'll see very different performances out of him and Mario.

Wow football is a cruel game, you lose form for a second and some people want to get rid of you instantly. I think that when he is on form, Coutinho is the best creative players in the squad, very much part of all that was good last season with his link up play. At times I felt he tried too much and ended up frustrating himself and the team. I mean who can forget that massive goal against City? and the countless assists through out the season? Now he is struggling for form and we as fans should get behind him and offer him all the support he deserves. Fans calling for him to be shipped out have such unbelievably short memories, and while we're at it why not get rid of Gerrard as well considering he's been abject for the best part of 3 seasons now ey?

Nonsense - Coutinho hasn't 'lost his form for a second'...it's been gone for a long time! During the first 3 or 4 months after his arrival he was excellent. But for well over a year now he has been very poor. VERY POOR. Granted, there has been the occasional game where he played above average or provided an assist to keep the fans of his back for a few months, but the same can be said about more or less any player on the planet. Initially, his transfer fee looked like a bargain but it's been a long time now since he's even been worthy a free shirt to play in.

Consistency has always been his problem,he seems to be working on it as he's consistently shitt now.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

FFS sell him then because at least 75% of this forum will be happy and will go and sharpen their knives ready for the next easy target. Don't think this guy has ever moaned about not playing or whatever and he never causes controversy but there are fans jumping all over him.
Please leave Phillipe to somewhere that will appreciate you.

Its been a long time since he has shown any real form. Seems too lightweight for the EPL.
