They are not adjusted to a countries economy at all they are adjusted to demand and it do happens demand is likely to be lower in a country where Liverpool are a foreign team. In England wealth varies between the south and the north almost all the countries wealth is in the south. Liverpool is in the north yet there is high demand and we pay the full price despite Liverpool being a very poor city. My local supermarket has a container where we put tinned food for other people in our town who have not enough to eat. But the sky prices are the same as London where people are ten times wealthier

Demand at a given price does depend on disposable income. What if the GDP per capita in the UK was half what it is currently, do you think that the price would be the same? If it is that bad in your area, how can you explain that last season all LFC games were a sell out? Yes there are very poor people feeding from containers at supermarkets, but, I don't think that those people go to games. If they do, then their priorities are wrong. Sky will have a standard price in UK, usually it doesn't work otherwise, however, there is probably more subscribers as a percentage in London than Liverpool. It's all market adjusted, what exactly is your point, you don't want a market economy?

Firstly vish the people are not feeding from containers in supermarkets we are not that bad just yet. The food us distributed to homes via charities. The disparities in income in the uk are no different from the wider world I am sure there are plenty people in Mauritius and Serbia richer than many English people. As you say the price us what it is, if you can't afford it tough (in your words) I don't see why that applies in England but not wider. It seems you want to protect your own cosy position but you are quite happy for English Liverpool fans to do the heavy lifting

I even proved it to you that this is not a subdidy (but a pricing strategy) because the FA increases its gross profit by selling rights abroad (actually you would have had to pay more if nobody was buying abroad), but of course this you cannot understand this. Now I leave you to your gloomy and depressive life, don't want anything to do with you. You are as disgusting on your comments on overseas fans as the poster Mike who got kicked out of here.

Let me start by saying I actually agree with you, I don't believe UK ticket prices etc subsidise the cost of viewing in foreign countries but that's just my opinion.

I would however like to point out that subsidies are very much possible within a pricing strategy so stop using the terms like they are mutually exclusive to prove a point, it doesn't make any sense.

In addition you spend 5 pages talking about how the prices in the uk and foreign countries are largely independent based on supply and demand of the market in question (I agree with this), and then say the above (in bold) which completely contradicts everything else you've said.

Now I wouldn't have bothered to call you out on these clear mistakes if you hadn't hurled personal abuse at another user yet again "stupid, idiot, senile" (the last of which could be incredibly offensive to some users). You had a completely valid point and you made your case and he disagreed, that went round in circles but only one of you resorted to name calling and you come off the worse for it, perhaps if you can't handle yourself in a debate (even if you clearly feel passionate about it) perhaps you shouldn't enter into a back and forth.

It applies to every part of the world, lots of people in Mauritius cannot afford satellite tv and watch one game a week on public tv or listen on radio. Not all people go on holidays at least once a year as it is more or less the norm in Europe. I don't think life in UK is worse than in Mauritius in general, but there are some Mauritians wealthier than British citizens but for sure, there are much more UK citizens wealthier than Mauritians or Serbians, check the GDP per capita or average income to ascertain. Your problem is that there are UK citizens that can afford what you can't, so you are feeling the pain. This doesn't have anything to do with overseas fans.

By the way, if you had read all the posts you would have seen that I did say that sometimes in your pricing strategy you do subsidise so as to gain market share for example, but, this is not the case with overseas tv rights of the EPL.
