Assuming this increase goes ahead to be the equivalent of vish and marko and watch live premiership games in the uk will set you back £960

If this is linked to incomes then we must be very very rich in the uk four times richer than Germany which I always thought was the richest country in europe. How little I know.

I had a quick survey in the pub last night no one would be willing to pay that. I sm told around the world premiershio football us very popular that's great because very soon you will be in the sights of the greed monster that is oremershio football.

Millions in the uk will be forced to watch the game in the pub or highlights on match of the day. This is our national game and these are English teams but the only people who can see them play are people overseas, That is the journey we are on.

If it goes up to £1000 a year to watch at home that's me done I will keep my half season ticket as long as it's possible for social reasons. But when they goes my Liverpool FC interest will be limited to glancing at the results in the newspaper.

You overseas fans are welcome to the sport you like it so much you have it and you pay for it ultimately. As for the stadium we don't need a stadium as no one in the uk will be able to afford to go near the place.

Try to imagine a Liverpool supporter who goes to the game the traditional fan who cheers the team on. He / she will pay £1000 plus just for the prem games £1000 for sky plus cup games another £500 to £1000.

It's a good job the UK is the richest country in the world four times richer than Germany and America funny it does not feel like it with the foodbanks I see at my local supermarket where we donate to people who can't feed their families. Do you have those in mauritous vish ?

If any of you overseas fans think this madness is going to carry on you are out of your mind

Oh trust me, he would't make the week in Belgrade. That's why i want him to come, for a reality check. He doesn't seem to understand what goes on in the real world outside his cocoon.

the problem with your approach is the fact that, yes the demand for the PL will be lower in Germany, Italy, Spain and France who all have very strong local leagues of their own. What about Scandinavia, China, India, Thailand, Singapore, South Africa etc where they don't have strong domestic leagues?

You leave out too many variables and look at things too simplisticly, probably as an attempt at a wind up, but either way, please come to Serbia.

Sixties, the price will always be based on demand in a market but the demand at a given price will depend on the disposable income as well as the price of substitute.

The standard of living is high in Australia vish but TV sports are effectively half the price of the uk and if we are to believe the rumours could soon be a quarter of the price

How do you explain that ?

Easy, the demand is lower there because football is not as much popular (Rugby I am sure is by far the number one sport, they even have their own version of football which is between football and rugby) and very important is the impossible time live games are shown there. So the product is less attractive to Australians.

Thank you for the explanation vish from what I understand premiership football is very popular in the Far East and I understand it's mighty popular in Mauritius

Looking forward then to your equal contribution to the £600 soon to be £1000 a year we pay in the uk to watch the sport in our armchairs

The other thing vish does not realise is Britain is a cold country and our energy costs are soaring many families are struggling to keep their heads above water food prices are soaring too and almost all of our towns have foodbanks. And yet he seems to think the British football fan can subsidise the rest of the worlds football watching habits

It's not going to be equal contribution because the disposable income is less even if demand can be similar. That's the point.
