Everybody rekons Phil was a great bargain but I'm starting to lose patience. He just does not seem to have the physical presence to play the no 10 role for one of the top teams in the premier league. Way too many ineffective games for us.

He has got the talent no doubt but he seems to have lost his way I don't know why

He can only play when given time and space, and that's why teams won't give him that any more. The PL is the wrong league for him, and I doubt if he'll be with us next season.

Do you think we will recover the 8.5m we paid for him? I used to always lose money
when I bought bonds I thought looked cheap. I'm sure Inter Milan knew exactly what they were doing when they sold him at that price.

Phil needs time space to do well,Suarez drew a lot of players away from Phil to allow him that luxury.

Coutinho needs to play on the wing where it's going yo be a bit harder to man mark him.

Speaks more to Suarez than Coutinho... albeit spot on...Suarez is not only a goalscorer, he has the speed and ability to take on defenders, his presence in the attacking half allowed less than stellar team mates look incredible. This includes Sterling and Sturridge - both very good.. looked incredible when Suarez was on the same field.

I think a lot of people are being unduly harsh on Coutinho. Yes he is lightweight but he is also lightening quick in thought. He is the one player who has suffered since Gerrard started this more withdrawn role.

He is a better player than Markovic and Lallana and we paid £20m plus for them. He has scored more away than at home including big goals at Fulham Man City and Everton last season

He has a better goals to games ratio than Henderson and Allen and if you took the pens out you could add Gerrard to that in the last 2 seasons.

Yet when we play one up front everyone here expects him to be the one to get the goals. You are all being extremely unfair to a very talented player who must be worth £20m if Henderson Lallana Allen and Markovic are in that bracket yet we paid half of what we paid for them.

I don't think he needs space. He looked brilliant when we signed him and looked like he knew where everyone on the pitch was. He hasn't lost that but is doing a different job to when he started with us.

What different job is he doing now?
