After the couple of weeks that the reds have gone threw one thing was amazing to see. Unlike the scum who go home at half time the crowd at anfield have been amazing. The Chelsea game, Arsenal game and most of all the Hillsborough mass. There is no other stand in the world like the Kop, and it has finally found its character again since been made all seated. Which is why i was thinking do we have to move to a new ground???. I know financially we need to, but is there no way the capacity can be raised to 60, 65 thousand???

obviously not Highwayman as they would have opted for this option I'm sure. I'd love Anfield to be extended I really would.
As for our supporters mate, they are one of the biggest reasons I'm a Liverpool fan myself wink

nah mate i agree but thers no chance of doin it. The main stands tiny, and that used to be a road behind wer the stand is now, so my dad says laugh so i don't think thers much point, i think a new stadium may improve our atmosphere, at least for a few weeks lol but we'll never lose the atmosphere like arsenal did movin to the emirates. thats just because are fans arent as s h i t as theirs lol wink

We are Liverpool and this is Anfield. Welcome to Hell.

They would have to buy up too many properties to do it. It would be cool to extend the Kop though. Imagine it win another 5000 in it!

My dream is to go Anfield to watch the mighty LFC in action live. Hopefully one day I will be able to live that dream before we do move to another stadium. Although never having been there I couldn't see how moving to a new stadium would lessen the atmosphere! Viewing games on TV only it doesn't matter where, when or who we play the atmosphere and noise coming from LFC fans is immense and I would love to experience it at least once in my lifetime.

The new on hold stadium boasts 18,000 in the new Kop - and with its acoustics designed to funnel the noise outwards it should make a fine spectacle.

We need to be getting 65,000+ gate money fast if we want to make that next step up. The mancs earn approx. £1million more than us on gate money alone - that soon mounts up frown

Definately. The thing that pisses me of is that we have all the approvals to go forward.

I hate the thought of leaving Anfield, I really do. They say we can't expand further which is a real shame. Personally I don't believe them.

there are a lot of empty houses around Anfield but would there be a way of adding another 30,000+ seats to Anfield?
