No one is disagreeing with that Faz, the issue is about shouting from the roof tops for all and sundry that you are a 'broken' team.

What do players think when they read that? If the BBC have twisted what he said fair enough but people still read it by and large as is.

I can imagine what Martinez is thinking and saying for his team talk- broken team lads, no confidence, in disarray, this lot are there for the taking blah blah blah.

Rogers can be as open and honest as he wants with his players at Melwood but I stand by this being a ridiculous public admission that does nothing but tell every other team in the league we are a shambles and the manager is having problems dealing with it.

Even if the starting 11 are not world class, if they put in the effort and are well coached then they should be far more competitive than what we have seen so far.
Losing challenges and a lack of running off the ball are some of the basics that are missing at the moment. If the players are not motivated or are not performing as a unit then the manager is getting it wrong.

Lallana played for a mid table club and had one good season at that level, at our level he's not only a prospect but an overpriced prospect at that. Lovern may come good but hasn't as yet. Ballotelli is more of a prospect than most as he can spontaneously combust at any moment. Lambert was as good as a freebie and played all his career at mid to lower level clubs. That reflects the summer window we just had and the squandering of 117m on gambles and mid table mediocrity.

3 Proven/World class players would've been good if we had a strong squad like City or Chelsea but we don't that is why he had to buy these players to improve our depth, and what if those 3 players you mentioned got injured, where would it leave our squad?

Or the price range that allows us to pass FFP scrutiny?

Based on that then we were never in for those players! mind boggles

How does the mind boggle? So you expect Liverpool to bid for players and pay wages that will make us fail FFP?

Here's a radical idea why don't Liverpool compete with those teams build a big club and then in future we will be able to afford the players United can

[oops] it you've convinced me! I'm now officially on the build a new stadium and over burden the club with debt band wagon. If it doesn't work we can just close up shop.
