I'd give Toure and Suso a game after their good performances from last week. I know Toure can be risky but Sakho and Skrtel have bee terrible too.

I don't know about Toure having a good performance, thought he was poor myself. We need a settled CB pairing, can't keep changing it up. Skrtel and Lovren are our strongest pairing imo. Agree about giving Suso a start though

Bring Gerrard and Lallana on in second half. From what I have seen, I would not play Lucas over SG as the former doesn't bring much to our game, he loses the ball regularly, is not a good tackler making mistakes and is not a great passer of the ball. He might have more stamina than an ageing SG but he is not physical enough.

If gerrard isnt playing we dont need a deep midfielder put henderson in the middle and play lallana and suso left and right.
I think playing gerrard in that deep area puts to much pressure on our defense that's why they are so nervy and make mistakes.

Evertons attack will glide by him too much and he doesn't offer anything else. At least Gez might ping a good ball or two out to the wing

After resting him on tuesday, I think it's pretty obvious that BR is playing Gerrard tomorrow.

He might have more stamina than an ageing SG but he is not physical enough. Lucas breaks up play even if he gives away fouls that's what he does. I don't agree with your tackling comment. I would not expect him to spray 40 yard passes but he will protect the back 4. Gerrard is a yard or three off the pace and needs to sort his head. The role he played last year based on this years evidence will not work again. I'd give him 20 minutes at the end of the game. Everton is there for the taking all we need to do is have a good start. BR hopefully has figured out that we will not be out the blocks as quick as last season and that we need to adapt and tweak the system.
