Then I'd direct you to some basic textbooks on sampling methods to understand why that would most definitely not be representative of the forum community. Don't mean to come across as condescending but I can assure you having taught sampling techniques many times that such a poll is not remotely representative of the forum community and couldn't be further away from what is considered 'random'.

Any chance you can post without being so condescending to everyone who doesn't agree with your views?

Some of the attitude on these forums is embarrassing.

I tried not to be to ninja as I said in the post and apologise to him if he felt i was being so, I just happen to have taught that particular subject and know directly that it wouldn't be considered a random sample.
But to you I thought you deserved it because you tried to criticise my post despite me directly addressing it myself in said post.
And you didn't express a view contrary to mine? I'm more than okay with someone thinking differently to me about how talented borini is and how much he's shown but you didn't do that did you? You tried to criticise a line in my post using something I addressed myself. You're right, some of this is very embarrassing. Perhaps you could express your view so we could have an actual discussion instead of your very condescending post that you directed at me despite it being ill thought out as I addressed it myself in the post you quoted.

It wasn't a criticism, I'm not prepared to judge Borini on the small amount of games he has played for Liverpool on the left of a forward line.

Playing for Liverpool and Sunderland is completely different due to the differing levels of expectation.

Like most others I was keen for Borini to be shipped out in the Summer but considering how poor we have been I'm not against him being given a run out at all and was amazed he didn't play against Middlesborough. At least he will put the effort in!

I agree on the cup game, I think he should have played if he's going to be our 3rd choice striker as it appears he is. Would give him a full run out against a weaker side that would hopefully bring a performance to boost confidence, or at least a good viewing as to what he can do.

In my personal opinion much can be gleamed from his time at other clubs despite the step up in expectation. Though such an approach is definitely not a science and opinions formed from more than just how he has played for Liverpool aren't always correct, on the whole I'm pretty confident that his contribution is going to be pretty limited. The thing I dislike most about him is that he doesn't stretch the game enough (neither does Balotelli but he has other attributes), Liverpool rely on forwards that make clever runs and take up positions that stretch opposition defence, and despite that not happening with anyone at the moment as our team looks a shambles, I've not seen it from borini even when he was playing in Italy.

Funny, i happen to know my sampling techniques and statistics quite well as they are a major part of my job which i am good at and Vis did not handpick the posters that replied or influence them in any way. Hence the sample is random, and i don't know the sample size but i am pretty sure it is large enough to represent the opinions equally. The people who replied were not hand picked so you wont find a sample more random than that, with posters of all ages and opinions replying.

Stan might think you're good, but I'm not all that impressed. I see you stated the sample wasn't random without any reasoning or explanation as to why you would think it isn't random. If you are gonna suggest the sample isn't representative, i am afraid i am going to need more reasoning than just that.

I know sampling also (audit) but what's the purpose of this to say people were happy with the signings now they are not that makes them idiots ? Can't people change their views ? Particularly having seen the less than impressive performances so far
