Careful chap you'll be termed a racist for talking as much sense as that.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.

I must be really sensitive and PC. The difference for me is I lived this sh!t and still do to some extent in racist South Africa of the recent past and undercover racist SA of today. Be it actual racism whatever that is or perceived racism.
My father was locked up, beaten up by police and left next to the road outside of town for supporting the wrong team and making a remark next to a sports field, I was expected to call people "baas" not allowed to attend certain schools, not allowed to enter building through certain doors, sit somewhere, told that we don't help your kind in our store, called a kaffer or [oops] on and off the sports fields in my teens and even in college. Had to work for companies with tendencies to appoint supervisors based on their skin color, even when I and others were more qualified and better at the job than them. Had to sit through meetings and discussions of how someone was not capable of doing his or job because of his or her skin color.
Seeing people die because they believed that we should at least be treated equal God forbid expect that we are equal. This does not even include the racial motivated killings regardless of being white or black that still goes on today. Now all this which does not even explain 10% of what some of us have gone through in life and justifying with statements like "he should have known, thought, can't think, doesn't have a brain cell or the calling me a white c*nt" is just sad.
Mostly because in typing all the responses I have on these pages I knew and realised that racists will remain long after I am gone from this earth and sadly it is how you were brought up in my opinion and the vile nonsense you were fed by your caregivers etc. Racist are not born they are bred. I would much rather die a political correct, overly sensitive whatever than agreeing with some on here. At least now I know to some extent the types I’m dealing with.

Well said Maureen. For many racism is just a "word" or something they have heard of. Those who haven't experienced it can't understand the degradation. Also, reffering to sixties post, being called a pom is not racism. It could be nationalism but not racism. Being judged or insulted on the basis of your skin colour is racism.

People seem to miss the fact that this is something Mario Ballotellu and basically every black person has to live with, not once a year, once a month but every single day. Can you imagine how stressful and hurtful that must be? How degrading? Being viewed differently every day because of your skin colour?

I went from Serbia to South Africa as a 12 year old white kid who had never even heard of racism whilst in Serbia. I just couldn't grasp the concept but i was in for a rude awakening in SA. As a white kid in SA who was looking for new friends in my new country, i quickly became good friends with a local Xhosa boy. I cant describe the insults that flew towards me purely for being his friend, let alone the atrocious things that were said to him. Don't forget, this was 93/94, apartheid was over, well officially it was, unofficially it is still rife in SA today, although it Is getting better.

People like Flames and those who say it's a business are right, it has become a huge business, a money making and turning business, but that should not stop us from talking about it and condemning it, nor should it mean we should accept it. To me it sounds like lots are sick of hearing about it, but that is not a reason to accept it.

That was clearly seen by a few of us early on in the thread to no great surprise nothing more, and as expected all the sensitive souls have come on and twisted it into a pulpit pet.

Could not agree more some love to get in that pulpit

That's a terrible story and a truly symapathise but to me racism is far more complicated than white people being racist to non white people. Here in the UK it's a positive disadvantage to be white particularly in the public sector with quota systems, We also have had (to our shame as a country) tens of thousands of schoolgirls raped trafficked and in some cases tortured by Asian gangs but because the children were white the authorities turned a blind eye for over a decade. The full details have yet to come out but the evidence is that it's happened and still happening in dozens of towns and cities in the uk on a huge scale. Was that not racism ? Many people would say no to me the racisim industry as lost all perspective I agree no person should be discriminated on the basis of their skin but that should apply to all colour skins and I do feel some exploit the racisim industry for criminal activity and to further their own ends as we see in the workplace. As for balotelli I am sorry but I can't get worked up about it he is a rich spoilt idiot and there are more important issues in society like fairness and justice for ALL and I mean all not a hierarchy of victim groups.

Yes i agree, equality for all, however, there is a process to restoring equality. Using South Africa and affirmative action as an example, you cannot deny a race education for decades and expect them to be equal all of a sudden because they are now allowed to educate themselves. What about the generations who were denied education and are still alive and need to provide for their families and raise their families? How are they now equal? The issues at hand are very very complex and cannot be resolved simply by saying its" OK we are equal". Society must compensate for the opportunities which were denied to somany based on skin colour. Many view aaffirmative action as reverse racism, but its not, it is working towards establishing equality.

Should we allow this to carry on Marko children as young as 10?

This was allowed to happen in the name of so called equality where the authorities were scared to act because of fear of being called racist

When I first posted this I didn't expect such response but as a society I should of know better. Racism effect people in different ways. Just because someone is highly paid football don't mean they should be targeted for racism. People who have been targeted by it in the past will understand better then most and I can see why they are more upset. Mario didnt kill nobody, didnt say a racist word but is given that kind of abuse. A number of people (if i can called them that) have since deleted their accounts as they knew what they did was wrong. Why didnt the same people say something to Gary Linker who took the right [oops] out of them on the day? I wonder why mmm

of course not, criminals should be treated as such, regardless of race. I find this theory that police were scared to act because they were afraid to be called racists very naive. I don't see the point of your post though. Are you suggesting non white people are getting away with crime because the police are scared of being called racist?

Perhaps you should take a look at arrest statistics. You'll notice that people of colour are stopped and arrested more than white people and that is not because they necessarily commit more crimes.

Thats excatly what I am saying yes and there is no doubt about it as senior police officers have resigned and a number of council officers. The enquiries are ongoing and its a national scandal it does not sound like you are very clued up on this issue nothing new there then.
