Allow to tweet whatever he wants? Ok, thats fine. Then by that logic, those morons are allowed to tweet whatever they want as well are they not? However ignorant it may be...

No of course they're not. It's not socially acceptable and it's illegal to abuse someone in that manner!

You have taken it out of context mate, i said "allowed to tweet whatever he wants about man united", of course that entails that it is not racist abuse or some $hit about Munich or anything like that. Other than that, stuff like laughing and banter is perfectly acceptable.

the only way to stop racism is to stop hyper reacting to it.

problem is, there's a lot of money changing hands in the racism industry, it pays to keep it going.

Alright, I offer my sincere apologies for taking your words out of "context" as you put it. Like I said I dont condone to this stuff, and in my original post I stated perhaps to him it's all just banter. However, it was taken to a place it needn't be by the social media idiots.

Being not socially acceptable and illegal won't deter the morons from their ignorant ways unfortunately. He shouldn't have to endure such abuse however.

Well clearly ninja wasn't precise with his words which has given you the opportunity to take them out of context to find a loop hole so you can pat yourself on the back for that, but you know the actual message and you've avoided it in this post.

-Balotelli is entitled to wind up man utd fans though as a public figure it is unwise.

-Utd fans are entitled to express displeasure by commenting on his club's or personal performance at the weekend in a similar vein, i.e. perhaps 'what are you laughing at you were terrible at the weekend' or 'look at the Liverpool score' perhaps. That is the the type of thing he was referring to when saying 'tweet what you want'.

-Bringing someone's race into it, something which has no bearing what so ever on the tweet, is completely disgusting, unacceptable and is most definitely (contrary to Stanley's comments) "real racism" (I'm shocked I even had to type the phrase "real racism" all be it a direct quote). Balotelli should NOT have to think 'hmmmm am I going to get racially abused for posting this tweet'. He can expect a come back in the form of angry Utd fans but why should he expect racial abuse??? Some people have genuinely shocked me with statements like 'he should expect it', I feel like we've gone backwards 30 years with some of these comments. I hope they throw the book at the culprits of the racist abuse, maybe it will start dragging some people across that 30 years of education against ignorance they seem to be sorely lacking (note to scouseman this wasn't aimed at you).

All I can see for umpteen pages are those who have problems dealing with the world as it is, not how they wish, nor a game which is based as much on fan hatred and tribalism as the football itself.

Regardless of the rights or wrongs it was obvious as a Liverpool player jeering a Man U defeat that he would invoke an emotional response from the opposition tribe along the lines that transpired.

That was clearly seen by a few of us early on in the thread to no great surprise nothing more, and as expected all the sensitive souls have come on and twisted it into a pulpit pet.

Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
