Whilst it wasn't physical abuse I'm pretty sure what was said would be classed as real racism!!

But yes I agree that the response was fairly predictable but that doesn't mean that it should be considered acceptable in any way what so ever. Any kind of abuse, racial or otherwise, is unacceptable, end of. This however does not mean that MB should make fun of man utd on a weekend when we ourselves had lost and looked like absolute shyte. Scoring one or two goals against West Ham would have hurt those utd fans a lot more.

Just because the abuse was predictable doesn't mean it's in any way acceptable. As someone else has posted, if the response to Balotelli's pi$$ taking or banter was to people to call him a [oops] or a $hit footballer or to ridicule LFC's start to the season then fine but no one should expect that kind of response.

It's not right for someone, what ever their race, to not be able to have a laugh or mess about for fear of being racially abused...simple as that!!
