There probably are none wiki but the evidence points to the cost of new build has been grossly exaggerated by FSG to justify reduced investment in the club. Look at city's ground that is in eastlands a run down area of Manchester very similar to the anfield area of Liverpool so you would expect a similar capital cost. That is the comparison

But that misses the point the fact seems to be we have been mislead about the cost of a new stadium clearly Manchester city have a first class stadium which at current money is about £200m. Everton's costing whether it goes ahead or not is around £200m I agree Everton's stadium won't go ahead any time soon I said so about 20 posts ago but if Everton do something about their stadium and it's inevitable they will then it will be new build. Anfield refurbished might numerically get more seats but it will be poor views in many areas of the ground (as it is now) and limited in it's expansion which for a club the size of Liverpool FC is unacceptable.

You said it yourself that OT has poor view, therefore, it is acceptable as they are our main rival as you also said.

So there are no plans or details of how their stadium would cost £200m? Why all the fuss then? It means nothing to us. They could have said it would cot a tenner!

We can of course look to City and Arsenal for the type of ground we want / need. I'd still say £200m would be a push to get something as good as those two with the whole complex in mind. I could be way off the mar though as could you with saying it would be around £200m.

Old Trafford has room to expand and is 76k as at today vish. But yes there are some poor views as there always are with trying to change stadiums that were never designed for it. But here's a question for you can you explain to me why poor views at old Trafford justify poor views at anfield ?

Wiki city's ground cost £200m in today's money. If Liverpool had a stadium like that I would be delighted

I wouldn't be disappointed either. Just don't think it's as simple, as black and white as that.

No of course not but questions need to be asked the refurbishment at £150m for just two stands on the face of it seems lunacy. I would not be surprised if it's just to save £75m or so.

Because I thought we had to mirror them in whatever they do as you constantly moan at FSG because we are not like them
