Actually, i feel his post is very valid. Saying a player performed poorly in a match, or in a season is perfectly acceptable. Saying a player is sh1t based on one performance, or not up to LFC standard based on 2 matches, is a joke and suggests as you put it "a lack of intelligence". Non of us can judge a player based on 2 performances and say with any level of realistic confidence, he is a crap player. He might not work for us, he might be going through a dip, he might not fit the system, that's all fine, understandable and can be backed up. Labelling a player as sh1t or useless after one or two games though, that's a joke IMO.
How many times have we seen players change clubs only to perform at great levels at their new clubs. The fact they didn't blend in with us, does not make them useless or sh1t players.
Criticism is normal and should be put out their just as any observation should be on the football forum, but any criticism has to be fair and substantiated. Saying someone is sh1t just for the sake of it does not count as opinion.
If a poster cannot offer a valid and logical explanation of their opinions and views, then they are not really valid opinions. Unless if you feel like "Suarez is a sh1t player, because he is bucktoothed", is a valid opinion. In my opinion, it is no more than drivel, which is what Box is reffering to, i believe.

Has it never occurred to you marko saying a player is poor after two matches might actually be right ? I said that within less than half a match of seeing Aspas and I was right.
And what does it matter anyway even if they are not right it's only an opinion that may be right or not as pretty much most posts are.

Aspas is not bad, he isn't a [oops] player. He didnt perform for us but he is for Sevilla and he basically single handedly kept Celta Vigo in the Primera. You fail to grasp the concepts of being a sh1t player and simply not fitting the system or not fitting the league. Benayoun didn't really produce the goods for Chelsea, but he did for us. Torres was very poor at Chelsea but terrific for us. Would you say Torres is a [oops] player just because he didn't fit into Chelsea's style? Kaka was outstanding for Milan but very poor for Real. Is Kaka a sh1t player?

Stanley, you also said Borini was bad, but he scored more premier league goals than Silva, Nasri, Walcott, Ba, Soldado, Eriksen, Mata etc...and only one less than Oscar and Schurlle, Sterling, Negredo and Lallana.
Are they all bad players? If not, how come you classify Borini as a bad player? Based on what? Nothing more than some imaginary notion of yours.

my point was that after a crap result this forum is full of people throwing our new player under the bus, its nothing new! It happens to nearly every player at some point, remember people said that Suarez wasn't good enough because he missed to many chances its not just this forum though its all forums and all football fans. seems people are much more active posting when they are moaning and have no interest posting after a positive result.

How many of his 12 goals were pens ? not sure of the 12, but of his 8 premier league goals, only 3 were penalties. Of Steven Gerrard's 13 premier league goals last season, 9 were from penalties.

My point was we are entitled to an opinion I never saw Aspas for celta Vigo I am sure he was good or we would not have signed him but that matters nothing to me only on the performances I have seen for Liverpool. On another post you said opinions should be backed up with evidence why ? This is an internet chat room not a PHD desertion I think marko you need to go for a long walk in the countryside and get some perspective

Unless if you feel like "Suarez is a sh1t player, because he is bucktoothed", is a valid opinion. In my opinion, it is no more than drivel, which is what Box is reffering to, i believe. As you put it, "that's it, right there, you've completely missed the concept". As I explicitly stated it isn't based on 2 performances, it's based on career history of the player and similar players trying to fit in similar systems. Whilst I'm with you on saying a player is sh!t is largely incorrect as it's normally a case of the wrong tool for the wrong job at the wrong level, I think when the term sh1t is bandied about it's normally a case of emotions overriding the intrinsic need of getting your actual point across. But to my original point, you not understanding how completely valid and viable a top down analysis of determining the 'fit' of a player to a team and system based on more than just how many times he's worn the same colour shirt as ours is what demonstrates, to quote us both "a lack of intelligence". It's not always right, most definitely people do better or worse than what one would expect based on such factors but basing and discussing an opinion on such things in a football FORUM (again clue in the name), is not only often right, but completely valid.

If you need to ask why opinions need to be backed up, you are beyond help.
It is a discussion forum but discussion needs to be based on something. If you are looking for meaningless drivel you might as well discuss the tellytubbies.if you want to discuss matters with other individuals on a football forum, discussing tactics, player qualities etc, you are gonna need some facts to base your opinion on.
I mean you don't have to have facts backing up your opinion, you wont go to jail, but your posts will be dismissed as the drivel that they are if based on nothing more than "because i said so".
Seriously Stan, you are asking me why opinions and views need to be substantiated? Because otherwise i could come on here and say 2+3=17 and you would be expected to believe and accept that.
I suggest you put the shovel down and stop digging yourself a bigger hole.

Yep but hes not a striker so borini he scored 5 open play goals in 30 odd games ? 30 odd PL starts? You sure about that? Also Borini was also often deployed as a winger at Sunderland. Negredo is a striker though, and only scored one goal more at a team that outscored Sunderland by a mile.
