Of course he will. I just happen to think he's a sharp businessman, and that he wants Liverpool to be successful to win him money.

Well his actions to date suggests that winning is secondary to financial probity and considerations. His beloved moneyball is as much about buying cheap and selling dear along with sponsorship income. I' imagine he feels if he can keep us up knocking on the door with occasional entry to the CL he'll have the best of both worlds. He'll avoid having to invest heavy in the big money stars, while keeping the sponsors happy, and at the same time continue to buy cheap and sell dear. That'll be a win win for him, but we fans might never see a PL or a CL win under his ownership, and that won't be a win win for us!

He is sharp too sharp for some. Its not just about players red Liverpool have an old rusty stadium its replacement was part of the deal and would have been reflected in the buying price. As for the £100m on players did he not get £75m for Suarez and did he not get x million from BT ? All the clubs have spent more.

No not all clubs have spent more, get your facts checked, Chelsea and City have spent less. We have the 2nd highest gross spent behind United and 3rd net, Arsenal spending more. We cannot spend much more because of FFP that some people don't seem to be aware of. Whether we have spent wisely or not is a different matter.

I'd base it on Emirates because it's more recent than Etihad, also couldn't check the Etihad costs.

I read this year the spending of all premiership clubs was a record by some way. Liverpool have spent proportionately higher but that's probably because they had to because of failures and low spend in previous years and the Suarez windfall plus champions league. I would love to think it's because John Henry loves the club and is aiming for the title but I doubt that it's commercial necessity. Vish you said recently we should spend less on the stadium to invest in players do you really think that's going to happen or we will just carry on spending what we have to, to maintain our present status e.g champions league qualification of thereabouts ? I really can't can't Henry breaking the bank to get star players to win the title in even if we spent nothing at all on the stadium. Whereas I think moores would have done I know he had his critics none more than me but he was a genuine Liverpool fan.

The eithad was built in 2002 emirates in 2005 all information on the web for both. You are getting desperate now this argument is about you defending your position no matter how overwhelming the evidence you would never agree to so new stadium. Partly your pride and partly because you don't care because you would never (or rarely) visit the stadium is not of interest to you. But a stadium is vital to the future of a club. City and probably eventually Everton will have magnificent stadiums build for £200m or less. It is simply lunacy to spend £150m on developing just two stands at anfield and I am sure once again it's Henry penny pinching just as he is doing with transfers we won't win with this guy the sooner he goes the better for all of us wherever and how you watch Liverpool

Good one Ninja but at least they seem to have gotten a sponsor and there are no ostructed views which you can only get with a purpose built stadium.

Nah Ninja, don't you know that's Man U's ground, our Evertonian cousins will build a gem of a stadium, they've always had that bit of pride and self respect about them, just like we did...once
