I don't know whether you are taking the mickey or not, but either way, i don't feel its worthy of a response from me. Either you are kidding, or your view and understanding of business is so vastly different to mine that there really is no point. Looks very like the white towel coming in from you're corner Ninja...submission accepted. oh, i see you are indeed joking. I didn't realise we were competing.

In the worst case liverpool will have a 58k stadium and everton will have a 50k stadium. No way they will ever go above that and no way they will ever have the reach liverpool have. If money is king (as many on here have stated) then there's no way everton will ever be better than Liverpool (long term) Well I'm old enough to recall Leeds Fans having similar illusions...how times can change though. Leeds united are where they are because over their over spending! That's the exact opposite of what we do and exactly what some people want us to do.

Agreed Box,we need new owners.
That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

The idea of the new purpose built stadium is future proof, allows for the modern stadium which helps clubs with comercial revenue drawn from the area. If it happens I'll be very jealous because it's far far smarter than the cost cutting expansion that is redeveloping anfield. They'll be future proof. As soon as anfield is redeveloped we will still be behind big european clubs. Henry's proposal demonstrates the fall of our club.

wilkij1975 Member Registered: 26/06/09 Posts: 5273 Loc: Sunny Suffolk £110m plus £45m total to turn it into a football stadium us whatever they spent for the complex. And why would it cost more to drive a digger around London than Liverpool? I've lived darn sarf all my life but not noticed that things are cheaper up t'north generally.
I was saying this In todays money equals around 210 mil 250 at a blow out It's not difficult to know actually if you have the right contacts in England. Where I live, through my contacts I can quite easily have an estimate on a construction done a decade ago in today's terms. You just have to know a few quantity surveyors and architects.

For me, a new stadium will be great. But I just can't see that it would only cost an extra £50m over the renovation. Think what you will about Henry but he wouldn't be that level of penny pinching! Why a new stadium would cost us £400m, let's say, and the blue noses can do one for £200m, dos seem a bit strange.
