And they lost no significant players to transfers or injuries (despite the fact that there's a costa injury rumor every week), only needing to bed in 2, one of who was already a proven star in the Prem. Not the same.

You wouldn't have tried it yourself should you have had the resources as you admitted. Still don't understand why you think others should do it.

I suppose it all depends how much you have if I had a couple of billion I might put a million to Liverpool FC I would get it back or most of it I think but it would need to be at least a 10 year plan. If I was down to my last £500m probably not

I can't remember vish did you not write it down ? Anyway can't I have a rethink ? Or is it impossible to change ones mind once you have said something ? I think if I had more money than I knew what to do with them yes I would invest in Liverpool and I would build a new stadium 75k with option to grow. But I don't have more money than I know what to do with which is essentially the problem

The only time people post on this site is to moan about something. sick

Indeed, there have been a lot forced changes and it will take a while. With everyone around us improving, and us taking a step backwards (temporarily), where would expect us to finish in the league this season?

Couldn't agree more. From a business perspective, there is no point in winning the premier league. The money that it would cost to do so (in initial outlay and ongoing costs) far outweighs the reward. No one can expect an american sports franchise owner to care more about local pride than he does about hundreds of millions of dollars.

I don't agree. Look at the kit deal United has just signed and their merchandising revenue and the profits they are generating. All this is a result of their success. This is what Chelsea and City are trying to build through consistent on the field success. Chelsea are selling shirts as much as us these days, something unimaginable before the arrival of Abramovich, they had to invest huge sums of money because the have started from a low base in terms of fans. We are in a better position to catch up provided we become successful again and with more seats, particularly corporate seats.

Don't worry Box I'm back on Sunday.

That job interview was going so well until I realized I was fukked up on acid in the middle of a cornfield naked and talking to a scarecrow.

Try mums net. That's worse than this even with every thread in here turning into 2 people arguing about FSG. Maybe there should be a dedicated section on the forum like there is for transfers?
